Pizza Roma The Original Malaysia — Restaurant in Ampang Jaya Municipal Council

At RM59+ (RM64.90), this buffet has its ups and downs, but I left ultimately satisfied with what I got (and very, very thirsty).

Beginning with the good points, it has variety, lots and lots of variety. From antipasto to zuppa, there's an incredible range of items for you to choose from. I opted to start with the beef meatballs, mushroom soup, beef lasagna, 5 Cheese pizza, and Margherita with Mozzarella Pinsa, a Roman-style flatbread. Out of these orders, the Margherita with Mozzarella Pinsa had a good impression on me as the bread had a nice texture to it, but it fills me up quite fast so I only ordered the Pinsa once. The beef lasagna was also good.

I finished off with a Tartufata with Pecorino (sheep's milk cheese) and a Carnivore. The Tartufata with Pecorino was amazing as the pecorino complemented the subtle flavours of truffles. Carnivore is what I live for, with delicious roast beef, chicken sausage, olives, and capsicum; it's really the best.

Now, as far as what they can do better, first off would be to at least include water as part of the buffet. As it stands, no drinks are included, and the drinks themselves are quite expensive. The mushroom soup was quite watery; this could be helped with a bit of cream. The gorgonzola on the 5 Cheese pizza was quite mild, though this may be the preference for some. I was also hoping to come here to try the shakes and smoothies, but given the price of the buffet as well as the price of the drinks themselves, I had to make do without drinks.

Overall, not such a bad experience, but has more room for improvement at this...

Came with my family (4pax include me) on an evening because i was craving pizza and milkshake. We ordered 2 mushroom soups, one 12inch, one 6inch pizza and bufflo wings. They gave a free Margherita pizza.

Mushroom soup was fantastic. It smells and tastes delightful. The texture was not too thick but thick enough. 100/100 for me.

Carnivore - plenty of meat & bell peppers. Flavors on point! There's nothing I'd change for this pizza. Recommend this for meat lovers. 200/100!

Four Cheese - this pizza full of cheese but I wish it has abit more salt. Personally, I could taste the cheese but felt like it needs abit more salt. 97/100

Chocolate milkshake - it was good, not too sweet at first. But if left outside, too long, the drink isn't cold anymore and it would taste slightly sweet. 95/100

Mango smoothie - perfect balance of sweet and sour (It's like mixture of overripe and unripe mango) I personally find this a great drink. 100/100

Buffalo wings 6pcs - tender and moist with spicy sour Buffalo sauce. Yumss!

Overall, dinner was great. I really love the food and the waiter was very friendly and greeted us with a smile when we came 😀 the atmosphere is not lively as the location is like a hidden gem. It's not crowded which I like because I'm not fond with crowds. Plenty of parking too!Definitely will come back here to try...

Wanted to try Pizza roma for a long time, and saw they opened a new joint with Austrlian Chef called Pizza Roma The Originals, so decided to try this new restaurant instead. It has more choices and varieties.

Ordered, Carnivore pizza: very very nice pizza, the flavours are on point with many meat inside and many cheese pulling. Crust was also very thin and crunchy. 4 cheese pizza: heavy cheese taste not bad of a pizza. 7'' has 4 pieces which was just right for 4 of us. Mushroom soup: creamy soup and truffle oil has added flavour. Saw the original pizza roma restaurant people reviewing said its good with many mushroom chunks, maybe this shop has another way of cooking it, it does not have chunks. But overall it tasted flavourful! Chocolate milkshake: very thick and nice topped with cream, but when it is out for long, the milkshake is not cold anymore and felt very sweet. Wish it could be colder. Buffalo wings: forgot to take picture, but when the wings came it was crispy and sour spicy just like original recipes.

Overall, very nice restaurant, service was friendly and fast. Environment was chill as it was the only restaurant there. Definitely a hidden gem.
