This is 100% honest review and I attach here the bill and photos of the dishes for your attention.
I suggest you. You must not go to this restaurant if you want peaceful time and experience. The restaurant is noisy...We had entered to this restaurant to see the view from outside and attractive photos in Google map and good reviews. I am afraid whether they are paid and fake reviews or not. Or they must be doing good degital marketing 😁. The inside restaurant is not as seen in the pics of Google. There was crowd in the restaurant, possibly as part of birthday celebrations or some ceribrations.
It was absolutely distracting our peace and love moments. Newly couple or Lovers or peacelovers must not even take a wrong tern to this restaurant. For me, it was absolutely like a street market.
I share my experience to you.
Me and my wife entered to this restaurant in hope that this restaurant brings us good experience.
The outside view was very beautiful. There was huge paid parking site next to the restaurant. The inside view seemed to be good.
We go an empty table there. I saw , there was a birth day celebration gathering of a family going on next to us. So my wife told , we can make the birthday celebration of our mother here at this restaurant. I agreed with her. All were fine at the beginning.
After waiting a while, one Arab man came to take order. We spoke in arabic and We ordered two dishes (Lamb Frikka, and Sidr Lamb ) , and one disert Mahallabia. He disappeared after taking order.
Later an Hindi speaking man came to give Lamb Frikka. I asked him what is this. He does not know English and english well. I understood from His fear in his face ,that he is scared of English. I asked him what is his mother tongue. And then we spoke in Hindi. The food was not tasty like real Frikka Lamb dish. It was not even like in pic of menu.
The funny thing is, . We had to begin to eat Lamb Frikka sharing because Sidr Lamb had not been taken to us... My wife had been waiting to take photo of both dishes together. My order was sidr lamb. And her order was Frikka. We only started to eat from Lamb Frikka because the second dish Sidr Lamb did not come yet after 20 minutes too . We finished Frikka Lamb and waited for Sidr Lamb in hope of coming .. My wife and me lost Patience but we remained calm And we waited. We called the waiters and they ignored us. Finally one Urdu speaking man came and asked in English whether do you need anything else. We said we need our Sidr Lamb , that we ordered. And another man apologised for their mistake. He went to kitchen quickly and brought the food sidr lamb.. It was also not same like in pic of menu. The portion was very less. The food taste was good.
But he also forgot to take the disert Mahallabia . We waited for long after finishing the second dish sidr lamb for getting Mahallabia... the same ignorance from waiters made us sick. I felt wounded and disrespected. I went to wash hand ,came back, and asked my wife. Get up and we pay bill and leave this dirty place. We won't come back here anymore. . All of sudden a man came and asked , do you need anything else. We said, we had been waiting for the desert. No need it. Because we are exhausted waiting. The man said and we already took and wait.
He quickly came back. My wife made me peaceful saying to wait and we can take it and go. Because we are not a problem makers even though they spoiled our mood.
After my wife ate the desert , we paid the bill and left.
Please don't go to this restaurant if you don't have enough patience and enough time and you can go only if you are ready to be ignored and disrespected. And if you are ready to pay over price for less quantity food which do not taste exactly arabic or turkish dishes.
We are very wrong in our decision to spend our weekend dinner at this restaurant.
The price is high expensive. The Service is very poor and above all, food quantity is very less.
I never go back to this restaurant and I won't suggest this restaurant to my friends and...
Read moreHaving to live near an Arabic neighborhood, I've always wanted to try Yahala & I'm finally here!!
I saw the Hummus on the menu was huge portion on a long plate but when it came it was quite small 😔 but it pairs really nicely with the Tameez bread. I love it ❤️
Chicken Mandy - 7/10 moist chicken with a mountain of rice 😂
Chiken kebab - 8/10 moist & flavorful chicken. Really yummy.
Lamb kebab - 7.5/10 slightly dry, but nicely seasoned meat.
Shrimp pasta - 8/10 El Dante pasta very yummy with fresh shrimp and mushroom.
Sidr Rice - 8/10 i think this rice dish is the star in the menu. I've seen alot of reviews where the waiter knocks the tin and let those rice flow down to the plate. The rice is very fragrant & flavorful. warning: portion is alot (recommend to share😂)
Drinks: Lemon Mint Juice - 💯!!!! Must order! Super refreshing and nice after a heavy meat meal.
Ginger water - spicy ginger in water, not bad.
Orange juice - nicely blended too. Not too sour, very refreshing.
Dessert: Chocolate crepe - soooo sweet! But I like it!
Fruity crepe - first time see pineapple on a dessert. But what I like is they separated the chocolate sauce out so you can add the sauce depending on your sweetness level.
While we were waiting for our crepes, the waiter suddenly served Kunafa to us. The chef smiled at me and said it's on the house. It was a really nice gesture 😭 and I've always wanted to try Kunafa. It's served slightly cold, and slightly sweet. But I like it! Thank you Yahala team🥰
Overall, their service is also very attentive, fast & friendly. Total price is just MYR371 for so much things. Cheap and good.
I will come back to try other food, baba ghanoush...
Read moreThis is by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
I don’t usually write bad reviews. I love writing great reviews for great restaurants. For bad ones, I’d rather just give feedback to the restaurant staff and management so that they can improve. But in this case this establishment deserves to be exposed for the horrible business that they are. Here’s why:
My husband and I wanted to take my family out for dinner as all of us are in town for raya. My mother and brother never got their order, despite the staff being reminded three times and us asking nicely. We thought “oh they’re a bit swamped and maybe kebabs and grilled items just take longer”. But they never even started making the food, as we discovered by the time a whole hour passed since we ordered.
When we went up to the payment counter to inquire, and the person there simply said “okay”, didn’t even apologize, shoved the receipt in our faces to show that he took the orders out.
So basically he didn’t even bother getting the kitchen to send us off with some food. We asked for the service charge to be taken out and he did agree to it. All the while, a few of the kitchen staff came out and they just started going at each other in front of us. The two waiters who took our orders never even bothered to check back with us and apologize as we were leaving.
My husband is leaving tomorrow and he probably won’t see the family till next raya. It’s 10:16 pm and my mother and brother had nothing to eat. An evening ruined.
How do you run a restaurant and not do the one thing customers come here for?
This place is just all hype. Horrendous service. I strongly advise against coming here. Shame on...
