Extremely Disappointed – A Celebration Turned Sour

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it so others can make an informed decision. We had made a reservation with specific requests for a friend’s birthday celebration, but everything went wrong from start to finish: Misleading Live Music Information We were not informed during the reservation that there would be no live singing that night. Instead, it turned out to be a singing audition, which completely ruined the ambiance and mood we had hoped for. Poor Seating Arrangement We requested a screen display to celebrate our friend’s birthday, but were seated far from the window. We had to walk out just to see the screen – very poorly planned. Cake Miscommunication and Unprofessional Handling I had pre-ordered one slide of cake for a surprise, yet they key in two and insisted multiple times that I had ordered both. I showed them my reservation message twice to prove otherwise, but the staff came back three times trying to debate instead of fixing the issue. The cake hadn’t even been brought out yet – surely adjustments could have been made quietly rather than arguing with a customer. Poor Coordination of Birthday Moment The birthday song was sung completely before the cake arrived, which ruined the moment. The screen slideshow we planned only started after I reminded them – everything was disorganized. Unfair Water Service Policy They told us they do not serve plain water and only have Aqua Panna – which we agreed to – but they only brought sparkling water, which we didn’t want. To make matters worse, we saw another table being served plain water. Only after we insisted repeatedly did they finally give us plain water. This felt extremely unfair and dishonest. Poor Food Quality The food was below expectations – the fish & chips were not crispy and the prawns in the seafood spaghetti were not fresh at all. Unprofessional Staff Behavior When we arrived, a waiter was smoking right at the entrance – a terrible first impression. Throughout the night, the staff showed a serious lack of training and understanding of customer service, which led to the entire experience being a disaster.

This was supposed to be a joyful celebration, but it turned out to be full of disappointments. I definitely will not return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service or a well-handled...

But what truly elevated our celebration was the extremely good service. The staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of and making us feel truly pampered. I chose this restaurant mainly for its flower wall and the LED screen by the pool to display photos for a birthday celebration. I confirmed everything in advance and was told it would be fine, but on the day, nothing was prepared. Only after we asked were we told the screen was broken .. this should have been communicated earlier, not left for us to wait in vain.

Service was also disappointing. With only a few tables that night, dishes came out too quickly, making the meal feel rushed. Waiters hovered around constantly asking to clear plates, which added unnecessary pressure.
