27/11/23 We were there around 7pm, was rainy though. It was full house in GF so we went 1F. Air contioned in both floor but too crowded already, kind of hot but understandable. Better go around 730pm to avoid the crowd. 9 adults 2 toddles.
Food: Ordered 10 dishes, medium portion, lemon sauce on fried chicken, deep fried pork, veggies, toufu, curry fish in claypot, sitr fried mantis prawn, stir fried pork etc. Although it is medium size, but portion is rather small to my surprise, may be my stomach and mouth are bigger, i will suggest to go big size instead.
Service: Due to the crown volume, the lady server was trying her best to respond to customer's request as soon. However, be careful while order dishes with the chinese mid age lady, she was a bit cunning. Make sure you ask to clarify for the portion etc. Other than that, I will give the service an acceptable level.
Atmosphere: Typical old timer KL fair priced restaurant, air conditioned, kind of tiny between table and noisy. Floor was clean no tissue visible, didn't go toilet so cant tell if toilet was clean but with the volume of customer, I will let you imagine the hygienic level of the toilet. Fork, spoon, plate, tea cups were clean and not oily. No fly flying around.
Overall: This is the type of restaurant I like to visit and give it a second try or third, although not having best dining experience. The total bill is RM280+ including tax. The taste, bill, serving, food and everything bring me back to say 20 or 30 years ago when I was younger or small, my father brought us to restaurant in KL. This restaurant isn't tastiest food but the good old memories. My father passed away few years ago, now is our turn to bring next generation to this type of restaurant. Again, this restaurant isn't the best service tastiest food, but typical KL fair priced restaurant with variety of dishes regardless, most of the dishes you know you used to eat, all can be found here. Worth to give it a try,...
Read moreThis restaurant was an absolute nightmare! The food is ridiculously overpriced and the portions are tiny — completely not worth the money. The seafood wasn’t fresh at all, with a terrible smell and awful quality. What’s worse, they added dishes without our consent, and when it came time to pay, the bill didn’t match the prices listed on the menu. That’s blatant cheating!
This place has zero integrity and is scamming customers. Save yourself the frustration — don’t waste...
Read moreFood is always good here. I always have rice and dishes. Fried fish any style is good, try nyonya assam, soy sauce or thai style. Also like the sizzling tofu, ask for salted fish. Vege dishes are tasty too, like the kang kung belacan and salted fish kailan. Service can be very slow and uncustomer-friendly during busy hours, ie after 6pm - ger pretty crowded then. Drinks are ok, I get the Chinese tea or a Pepsi. Indoor and outdoor seating...
