I came. I saw. I transcended.
From the moment I walked into Dragon Palace, I knew I was entering another realm—somewhere between ancient imperial China and a celestial buffet hosted by the Jade Emperor himself. The scent of sizzling garlic, divine soy, and the faint echo of a wok being kissed by fire caressed my nostrils like a kung fu master whispering secrets of flavor.
The dumplings? No. These were not dumplings. These were pillows of enlightenment. Each bite revealed layers of delicate craftsmanship, as if every dumpling had been folded by a monk trained in the Shaolin arts of pastry origami.
Then came the Peking duck—OH, THE DUCK. I swear I saw a single tear roll down the cheek of the waiter as he carved it, knowing I was about to consume perfection. The skin was so crispy I heard it before I tasted it. The meat? So tender it must have been raised on a steady diet of classical music and moonlight.
The General Tso's Chicken? This dish didn't just have flavor—it had a story arc. It started bold, built suspense with a sweet tang, and ended in an emotional crescendo of spicy joy. I was moved.
The tea arrived, and I felt my soul reconfigure itself. I'm pretty sure time slowed down. I could hear the soft hum of the universe syncing in harmony with the jasmine in my cup.
The bathroom? Immaculate. I’d eat in there if I could. I might have. It smelled like lemongrass and destiny.
The staff? Honestly, I suspect they were undercover descendants of ancient Chinese deities. They moved with grace, refilled our tea with telepathic timing, and bowed with such elegance I felt like royalty and a humble peasant all at once.
In conclusion: Dragon Palace isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a portal. It’s a prophecy. It’s an awakening of your third tastebud-eye. If you haven’t been, go. If you have been, go again. If you’re reading this while eating there—congratulations, you’ve won at life.
I give it 17 out of 5 stars. Michelin, please just hand...

My family and I took this package (picture of menu as seen), and we were disappointed. The menu stated that it was meant to be for 10 pax but we left still feeling hungry (our table only had 8 pax of people). There are four dishes there were really just sad.
For the first dish “combination platter” the portion of egg and sweet potato roll given was just pitiful. There was only 6 sweet potato rolls to be shared among 8 people. As for the egg, each of us only could take half a spoon of it.
As for the “braised shark’s fin soup with abalone slice”, the name is misleading. You can see from the picture, there aren’t any slices visible.
The “mix fruits salad ocean prawn” only had pineapples and the prawns didn’t taste fresh at all.
Lastly, the “double boiled snow fungus with peach gum” just left us speechless. There was zero sugar in it. My cousin even had go ask the waiter and waitress to try it for themselves because they didn’t believe that there wasn’t any sugar in it. They went to get sugar syrup for us and told us the chef had forgotten to put sugar for this batch. The other tables sitting near us were affected as well.
After dinner, went to feedback these to the lady at the counter. Her response wasn’t sincere. For the sweet potato roll, she mentioned that there was a mix up. We should have received more (how can there be a mix up when we paid for 10 pax?) for the “mix fruit”, she said tomatoes were included too (I was just speechless at this). As for the zero sugar, she claimed there was sugar in it, they diluted it due to previous tables complaining that it was too sweet (why did your waiter and waitress told us that this batch sugar was missed out?).
When mistakes were made, it is better to just admit them and apologize sincerely. After pushing for a better solution, they gave us a mere RM100 discount for two tables.
First time and last time. Not...
Read moreA very bad dining experience with this restaurant. The staff suggested us to order the 10 course dinner set when we asked for dishes suggestion. After looking though the 10 course dinner menu, we decided to proceed for the 10 course dinner menu. After ordering, the staff approached us and told us that two out of ten of the dishes were not available on that day. So, she suggested us to change the dishes. After agreeing on this, she told us that we need to pay extra for the changes of dishes from the 10 courses set menu. This is quite unreasonable when they forced us to change the dishes which are not under our control with extra charges. Furthermore, the attitude from the person in charge of the restaurant was not good during her explanation as we weren’t told that another dishes was not available too at the beginning of this discussion. We were told about this in the middle of the discussion of the changes of menu. In addition, with a very bad attitude during the discussion has given me a very bad impression for this restaurant. As a diner, I would prefer everything should be told beforehand with a proper attitude. It was a really bad experience with this restaurant especially the kids are starving as we were discussing about the menu and they couldn’t come out a better suggestion on this. Furthermore, they should tell us what is out of stock before we started to order. We wouldn’t recommend this restaurant anymore. And I would recommend to go for Tek Sen Express or Eastern Wishes Nanyang & Thai Cuisine for family dinner if you are hunting for good food with great environment and reasonable prices around...
