Being a fans of Ah Hong itself, definitely going to give a try immediately after the new video was launched yesterday. Glad to see that Ah Hong finally steps into the F&B business. Visited his Thai food stall by 5.49pm, provided the shop opening from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Went in and sit down with my wife, was then asked to move to other table as the table was reserved, again asked if there is any way to make reservation, however the reserved was said to be a regretted choice being made. The aunt that takes order need to be more efficient and maybe learnt not to be panicked when there is crowd coming in. I would like to give my honest review about the feeling of having dine-in as it is first time trying Ah Hong's cook food. Ordered Sour Lime Squid, Tomyam Seafood Pot and "Unforgettable" 3 Layers Pork Meat. Waiting time for Tomyam Seafood Pot (small) = 30mins, Sour Lime Squid = 32mins, "Unforgettable" 3 Layers Pork Meat = 40mins, luckily not required to wait for more than an hour. Given that 2 appetizers (steam-ready) and 1 soup is considered kinda slow, but it is obviously because the staff is still new and is under run-in period, still need to be improved. The food portion when served out was kind of disappointed if compare with the ones shown in video, rice was little with the price of RM2.50 each. RM29 for Tomyam Seafood Pot (small) has 3 Prawns, near to 1 squid perhaps, 3 or 4 pcs of grey oyster mushroom plus 1 full diced tomato. Squid size is medium-small with a portion of 5, price in RM36. The pork meat is RM18, with 11-12 slices. After tasted it out, with a highly anticipation upon watching the video, nevertheless it has not reached up to our expectation. Tomyam soup is one of the best I could say, which still live up to the standard. Other than that, the plates were oily and stain could be seen. Always your fans but kind review is given, hope hearing me out. After all, had supper somewhere else because we are still hungry.

Read moreThe service was really poor. We wanted to support the business, but when we arrived at this seafood restaurant, we sat there with no one coming to take our order. That was fine, so we went to the counter. An aunty saw us and directly said that there was nothing left, and that many dishes were sold out. I understand, since the restaurant is newly opened and has many customers. It was only 9pm. Then, a chef came out and mentioned that there were still some dishes available and asked if they would suit us. He then asked what we wanted to order and said he would check if those dishes were available before returning to the kitchen. We tried to tell the aunty what we wanted to order, but she ignored us two or three times, showing no manners at all. Is it because they already have enough business that they don’t care about us? Please train this aunty properly if want her to work in customer service line, or else she will...
