1997 Restaurant is one of my go-to spots when I’m craving good hawker food at affordable prices. It’s a lively coffee shop with several stalls, and almost everything I’ve tried here has been tasty and satisfying. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would definitely be the nasi lemak. The rice is fragrant, the sambal is just the right balance of spicy and slightly sweet, and the portion is big enough to really fill you up. For the price, it’s hard to beat – cheap, generous, and delicious. Other dishes that deserve a mention are the roti canai and curry mee. The roti canai is soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, and goes perfectly with the dhal or curry. It’s simple but really well done. The curry mee, on the other hand, is rich and flavorful, with a broth that’s creamy and full of spice – exactly how a good bowl should taste. What I like most about 1997 Restaurant is that it combines value with flavor. You don’t need to spend much, but you leave feeling satisfied. The place is usually busy, which just shows how popular it is with the locals. If you’re looking for tasty hawker food with big portions and fair prices, this is definitely a spot worth visiting.

We visited this non-airconditional coffee shop on a few occasions. There were smokers everywhere within the premises. The atmosphere was busy, noisy and a bit dirty. Ordering at individual stalls. Teochew noodles were mediocre. Nothing special. A bit too oily to our liking. 2 stars Fried bee hoon is delicious. To enhance the taste, need to add in more dark and sticky loh sauce. The noodle was tastier than vermicellias it was sticky and well fried. 3 stars The mushroom noodle was delicious. This is the hidden gem in this coffee shop. Sauce was good, and noodles were bouncy. Pork lard was given generously in each serving and elevated its taste to the next level. 3 stars Roti canai is one of the crowd pullers in this coffee shop. Roti kosong and Roti planta were highly recommended. Flour from this stall was special and especially delicious when dip into the curry sauce. Roti planta was wonderfully made and was satisfying even eating on its own. 4 stars

I'm giving 5 stars specifically to this Thai shop! Authentic Thai food taste at a cheap price ! So delicious and spicy ! Their Thai padprik is so spicyyyyy! Eat at your own risk. Tomyam fried also taste so good. I love it! Compare to other food courts that I tried. This is the best one !
