Quality hawkers in the koay teow thng and curry mee. Curry mee (afternoon) is the famous one with mint leaves that used to be at New World Park. The curry was still as flavorful as before with lots of seafood but sadly no more mint leaves. Koay teow thng (morning) is those "made to order" (現煮） type. Surprisingly cheap. Broth is lighter and feels like it has less MSG. One of the best you can find in Penang. They usually sell out by 11am though.

Ordered Kway Teow soup. It was nice. Food taste ok. But the drink vendor aunty very impatient. Not sure why. My first time there, she don"t sell any brewed coffee/tea (which is fine). But impatient to even let me know what else I can order for a drink. I still patronise for the sake of being nice la. Maybe she is having a bad day. 😅

A great place to taste some traditional food with wallet friendly prices. A new stall just opened right behind Ee Hai (the kopitiam behind Magnum 4D) that sells superb fish fillet bee hoon. It's located right beside the small temple in the kopitiam. Must try! Kopitiams is the bread and butter for Penangites to exchange information and serve up a fresh vat of gossip. If you're here, be sure to check all of them out. There are a lot of hidden gems those FB pages...
