PANCHOR 6 HOSTEL — Hotel in George Town

The room was very filthy, the walls looked like they have not been cleaned in the last 5 years, dirty bed, like a prison cell. The bathroom/toilet were disgusting with completelt yellow tiles and lizard feces. The hallway smelled like urine. There were only permanent older men staying in the hostel washing dishes in the shower, we felt very uncomfortable. Security was non existent, the gate was always open. The self check in was terrible, we did not receive any information untill we send messages asking for our codes. The location was far away from the centre. And upon arrival, we suddenly had to pay 10 RM per night extra, so not even that inexpensive after all. A lot of the reviews on google seem to be fake. Do...

I would give this a 0 star if I could. The room is so dirty, dusty and damaged. The room looks like a toilet, with pipes in the walls. Let's not even mention about the toilet. It was dirty and there was only one toilet for one floor. The place even had a bad smell. Really sickening experience if I could even call it that. I didn't even stay at that place as I couldn't bare the sight of it upon check in. Thank you for wasting my money 🙏. Price wise, it's very affordable. It's very convenient for a solo traveller who travels alone, as you got to have your own personal room to crashed in for the night, and its not the sharing dormitory kind. Every room have AC.
