Love A Loaf Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in George Town

Are you interested on online order and free delivery to home if order above RM30 no matter in mainland or Island ？Well，I could totally tell you a big NO （it’s just my own experience can‘t represent ALL buyers/customers）but if after you have see my review and still wanna try their delivery service then please go ahead. Due to time constrains and certain personal issue therefore I started browse through google and facebook to get a cake where home delivery is a must for me. The 2nd choice when select for a cake shop is the cake varieties and the taste. When browsing their website you must be aware of the free delivery once order above RM30 as they put it on top of the page and due to that I placed an ordered from their website where the requirement for mainland is order must be place one day before with above RM30 and certain areas they have fixed the delivery days such as Butterworrth are Thur and Sat (can’t really remember), and for mainland the delivery days are Fri and Sun so I chose Fri because I need to use that cake on Fri therefore the date selection is on Fri and ordered was placed on Thur night also gave an remarks to remind sellers/ Love a Loaf to provide me candle and birthday topper. The delivery suggest time if can please arrange between 5:30pm to 6pm also please give me a call. However, out of my control things happens on Fri, as I been waiting for the cake to be delivered on this time or earliest if they can’t arrange on that time unfortunately they don’t even delivery to me hence the status has been updated to completed. I was like what ? I don’t even get a call or receive my cake! So I tried call Vincent (not sure if owner or what, but get it from payment gateway there) to ask further. At first, he seem like wanna refused to help me follow up because he told me can you call to the relevant branch ? And my replied was I totally don’t have they number or PIC number for BM order, how to call ? Therefore he took the order number from me and telling me that he will ask the respective BM branch to contact me. Then I was like ok, fine and think that this might be the only way to solve my current issue. After 20mins plus I still didn’t receive any calls from stranger/ unknown phone number to update me on my order and cake status.! So I re-called to Vincent again, after that called. Finally someone call and tell me that she is from Love A loaf and regarding my cake, they forgot to deliver and missed out my order ! Also telling me that they maybe can deliver to me on Sun. I totally can’t accept it as I only need that birthday cake on Fri, what’s the points to place order online and get the cake on Sun ? If I need that cake on Sun, I can direct buy from Aeon BM, no need to place order here and rushing to select from website. No more next time, Hi and Bye to Love A Loaf. So far I will not place order from this shop again after experienced this kind of service. You may give a try to check whether you could still get a birthday cake on time or they will missed out your order again! But surely the mood will be affected so If can avoid please avoid this kind of troublesome system and shop.

华语版本： 我在星期四晚上下单了星期五要用的生日蛋糕因为没空出外买也很赶时间，所以就网上订购等送来家里。因为订单之要满RM30跟提早一天下单就可以了。之后我就下单了要求星期五送来，跟要求要有蜡烛，生日牌还有请他们安排在5:30pm 到6pm 之间跟要送货前请打来先。结果星期五等到建议的时间过了而且他们的website 还有我收到的邮件显示说订单完成后就惊奇我连蛋糕都没收到何来的订单完成？于是就拨了电话给名叫Vincent 的不确定是老板还是什么的（在付款后面页面有号码所以就打了），他刚开始像要拒接我了因为他告诉我你可以直接发给派送BM的吗？我就说不能，我都没号码怎样联系？没办法之下他就跟我拿了订单号码并告诉我过后叫相关BM的联系你。...

The cake is nice but be careful when you place the order thru apps or website, as there will be the risk that the shop won’t receive the order. As I placed the order for someone’s birthday thru App 2days before the delivery date ,but they didn’t deliver my order on time , While contact to the bukit jalil pavilion outlet was told they don’t have my order record at first , and after show them the record , they give me the reason “ Our phone didn't connect WIFI didn't see the message. “

Luckily they still have the stock for the cake which I order and rush to arrange the delivery ( though been 3hours delay from my original request time )

So my suggestion , Do call the outlet to reconfirm your order when you place the order thru Apps or website , or you might facing the...

Bought a mother's day cake from the bakery (La Luna) to gift it to my sister-in-law. Was very disappointed with the cake for the price that i paid for. It is almost double the price of a normal birthday cake yet the quality is well below average. After removing all the artificial decoration (non-edible), it is just a plain cake covered with cream. And the ratio of cream vs cake body is almost like 60-40% which is horrible... the fillings is supposed to be fruits but the amount of fruits added are really making me speechless. It is quite a popular bakery in the area and really didnt expect the cake is of this quality. Regretted a lot and should have purchased the normal birthday cake instead which i am sure will be much better than this...
