Dear McDonald’s Management, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a deeply concerning experience I encountered at your drive-thru service on 15th April 2025 at 22:25 McDonald Green land DT branch. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a deeply concerning experience I encountered at your drive-thru service on [insert date and time] at [insert branch/location]. My family and I had placed an order for 2 ice cream cones. While waiting in the queue, I noticed the car in front of us ordered only 1 ice cream cone, but the staff mistakenly handed them 2 cones. The customer returned 1 cone to the counter, and to our shock, when it was our turn to collect our 2 cones, we saw that one of the cones appeared to be the same returned ice cream—served again to us. This is extremely unhygienic, unsafe, and unacceptable. Ice cream melts quickly and once it has been served—especially after being handled by another customer—it should never be reused or passed to another customer under any circumstances. To make matters worse, when we politely raised this concern to the staff, they showed no apology, insisted they were correct, and responded with a poor, dismissive attitude. This behavior reflects a serious lack of professionalism and responsibility. What’s even more alarming is that this is not the first time this has happened. In a previous incident, we had also ordered 2 ice cream cones, and the same situation occurred—a returned ice cream was re-served to us. At that time, after we highlighted the issue, the staff replaced the cones without much argument. Unfortunately, this second incident shows a repeated pattern of careless handling and unhygienic practices, now combined with poor customer service. As a loyal McDonald’s customer, I am extremely disappointed. Food safety and hygiene should always be your top priority, and customers should never be made to feel disrespected or at fault when raising valid concerns. To support our concern further, I also took time to read customer reviews of this outlet. Out of 10 recent reviews, 9 of them raised complaints related to poor service, long waiting times, low food quality, and slow, inefficient staff. This clearly indicates an ongoing issue at this location that needs urgent attention from top management. I urge McDonald’s to seriously investigate this matter and take immediate action to: • Ensure staff are properly trained in food safety and hygiene practices • Reinforce the importance of respectful and professional customer service • Prevent any re-serving of returned food to customers under any condition Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response and a clear explanation of the steps being taken to address...
Read moreI thought the drive-thru service is speedy. I arrived at 9:55am using drive-thru as I was rushing for a meeting on Saturday. I ordered an alarcate breakfast Crispy Chicken Muffin with Egg but unfortunately so early sold out. OK! I then ordered McChicken burger in alacarte. Paid the money. The drive-thru in long quece couldn't even move as the front cars all waiting to receive their foods. All passengers were instructed to move their cars and park at the reserved parking lots. So did I but limited of the parking lots so I waited until other passenger moved out only I could slot in. However, few cars moved out so i wanted to park the lot, coincidentally there was a Mcdonald staff lady came out with the take-away meal packed to passenger. I then winding down my window and asked when is my ordered meal and the staff was not in good manner staring at me instructed me to park my car first and wait for it with slightly heavy tone. I felt I have been waiting for almost 15mins to get a fast food with just an alacarte burger only and needed to wait for almost 15mins late and received an unwelcoming manner giving me such instruction really make me sick with the service of this Greenlane Mcdonald! I left at 10:12am without taking the meal as this is really my bad experience of accepting this kind of service. In fact this is a jeopardised by certain hired bad staffs of Mcdonald in Greenlane. Hope Mcdonald Greenlane will advise its staffs and improve them otherwise this will be my last order in Mcdonald greenlane. (The Drive-thru service over 10mins waiting is not advised to take order there!!! The staffs totally cannot cope with the orders when too many orders).
*The in charge Manager of Mcdonald Greenlane should do something and get the Drive-thru service in better improvement for customer convenience. Otherwise what is for drive thru?? Kindly also educate the jeopardized staffs to serve all your customers in better manner! Not stare and talk to customers like we are begging for your free meal!! I never give 1 star comment to others and this is my first time which really a sickening service I...
Read moreHi Macdonalds I was at Mcdonald Greenlane Penang just now with my kids and I wish to express my concern regarding the abacus ball equipment at the kids play place. Throughout the time when my kids and I were there around 8pm to 9.30pm , I have noticed few kids fingers were smashed while playing this equipment. It happened when their little fingers were placing at the edge of the crossbar while other kid was sliding the giant beads not knowing that this action could pinch fingers of the other kid.
Before I left, I have feedback to the branch manager (wearing purple uniform) and even brought her to the spot to explain on the situation, added that I wish she could reflect this to upper management on how dangerous this equipment can be. Ironically, she just laughed off and pointed to the notice board telling me that it is up to parents supervision to ensure own child safety. How disappointing and unprofessional is that answer?
A playground is supposed to be a safe space for children to play safely and run around. I think Macdonalds plays a big part in keeping the playplace in a safe and usable condition for our children in order to protect them from harm
Please check the cctv footage if any and you will see how many kids have injured from this equipment during the above mentioned period.
I hope Macdonald could look into this matter seriously and use appropriate security measures to prevent further severe...
