Lemon Inn Penang — Hotel in George Town

Stayed at Lemon Inn for four nights while in town to do some immigration stuff for Thailand. The hotel came up as close to the embassy but it is still a 10 minute drive. The location is a bit weird as there are no tourist things in the vicinity. In fact, I was the only "white" person. It is convenient to a couple of outside stall areas for Malay food, Chinese food, and Thai food. It is also a few blocks to the harbor (ocean) not swimming beach!||||The place itself has a little sign and it was difficult to find every time I mentioned it to a taxi driver. They had no idea where I was talking about and on a couple of occasions wanted to charge me more bc they insisted it was not Georgetown itself, but the outskirts.||||The place is well kept, very clean, and quite comfy. Opt for the standard rom or higher - as the cheapest room is SO small. The bathrooms are a locker room style and are shared. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rates are good enough. Seems they would be cheaper bc this place is so remote and a homestead type place. This place no doubt is a perfect choice if you are paying a visit to Lam Wah Ee hospital. 2mins walk to bus station, 2mins walk to hospital. 3huge kopitiam nearby where you can easily find lots of Penang culinary here.||||Skipping those Mewah court apartment choices which I seldom hear people complain about the dirtiness.||||Hence,here they don't have a kitchen like for those who are looking to cook. love love love the whole inn and the staffs are super cooperative. located nicely in front of mewah court aprtments, kopitiam and food stalls beside and across the street, 9 mins walk to pasar sore and KFC.||||just cross the street if you want to visit lam wah ee hospital. bus stop nearby easily access to komtar ||||if you are heading tolam wah ee, this place is a must stay, lots lots better other than those privately rented out rooms in mewah court, which in my own opinion looks dirty. and you pay for the same price here.|| awesome wifi.||||will surely come back if i have to visit...
