The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in George Town

Worst branch ever, they work terribly slow! 5 person queuing ahead us but we had to wait for 40mins for 2 drinks. I understand that today is the promotion day but the efficiency is unacceptable. Today Atikah the assistant cafe manager served us, but while she was taking the order she kept doing other things like training another employee or making beverages. Another employee, Alia, probably is a newcomer, she is very untrained and needs to depend on the assistant manager for almost everything. Every order is done halfway, and at the end the order queue got all messed up. Some customers that came after us got their drinks first. At some point my order is finally on the counter and just need to attach the cup cover, but at this time Atikah and Alia kept doing other things (cleaning equipments, filling ice...) and didn't bother to handle our order first. We tried to call for help, they just stunned at there like don't know what to do. Luckily at the end another male barista (sorry that i didn't catch his name as i was rushing) came out from the kitchen and helped us with our order, really appreciate for his help, otherwise not sure how much longer we are going to...

Good place to isolate yourself from work from home environment. Temporary get away from busy life. Even so, you still can see someone working remotely at here. Friday eve and weekend are a crowded place. If you need the peace of mind, avoid the 3 days Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. You will be really dependent on their WiFi, as your mobile network won't work well in indoor. So you can order another cup of coffee every 2 hours once the free WiFi is timeout. 😁 But beware of the caffeine dose your are taking in will turn you into panda 🐼 when you can't sleep till the next morning 😆 There's a large table and is good for large group catching up or short discussions. Monday to Thursday are still the peaceful place for a great break of my day. The only part they need work on is the rest room availability which out of service...
