I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying to book a table at Hai Di Lao, and I must say that their booking system is an absolute disaster. Despite making an earlier booking, the system completely failed to generate realistic timing for diners to decide on their preferred time slots. Instead, they left customers in the dark, forcing them to turn up at the restaurant and endure excruciatingly long waits.
When I arrived at Hai Di Lao as per my booking, expecting a timely and enjoyable dining experience, I was greeted with disappointment and frustration. The restaurant was severely overcrowded, and the understaffed management seemed overwhelmed and ill-prepared to handle the situation.
To make matters worse, I was informed that there would be a two-hour wait before I could be seated. Two hours! This is utterly unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that prides itself on its reputation. As a loyal customer who wanted to support this renowned establishment, I felt thoroughly let down.
Hai Di Lao's inability to efficiently manage their bookings and accurately estimate waiting times showcases a complete lack of regard for their customers. It is inexcusable for a restaurant of their caliber not to value their patrons' time and ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
As a result of this disappointing experience, I cannot recommend Hai Di Lao for a pleasant experience to anyone. If you're considering dining here, be prepared to waste precious hours waiting for a table. There are countless other dining options that prioritize customer service and provide a more pleasant experience.

Was told the waiting time would take about 30 minutes but we waited for about 45 minutes. The waiting area was quite nice as there were drinks, snacks and ice cream we could take while waiting for our turn. There was also this manicure section and children play area. Finally was brought into the restaurant by the staff when it was our turn. Got a table and started ordering the items. Saved quite a bit of time when I was already ordering while waiting and the order was actually processed immediately. Staff service was good and there were information given where to get the condiments, drink refills and washroom. Food was brought over to the table by a robot but we were not sure whether we should take ourselves or someone would come and serve. Just as we were trying to take, a staff walked over and told me to wait a while and she would help us out. Overall experience of dining is quite similar to that in Singapore, also when we paid for the bill we realised that it was about 30-40% cheaper. I was wondering whether it was due to the exchange rate but somehow I felt that the variety of the items in the menu wasn't as extensive as the one in Singapore and hence I couldn't really order much. Probably if I were to order more than there might not be so much of a price difference. It was a good experience dining, loved the soup bases a lot. The food standard is pretty consistent with any HDL outlet u visit. I managed to get a table early before 6:30pm so there was minimal queue and was my turn for my manicure service even before my food came.
What compelled me to leave a comment was the service. It was impeccable.
From the manicurist to the wait staff and even the floor manager, the entire store of staff were all bright, spritely and full of energy. They will greet u warmly even if they are not assigned at ur table.
The manicurist was also super loving and friendly towards my children who were were very curious about the process and made them feel very welcomed by chatting with them and even giving my little boy nail stickers so he doesn’t feel left out.
The wait staff serving table 102 were also very attentive, taking care of your needs before u even think u needed them. They even prepared a plate of dragonfruit for my girl when they heard she wanted them, even though it was not served as part of the range for the evening.
I must give special mention to Lucas for being superb with his service. I will give him 6 stars if I could for the many steps ahead that he thought for the customers and going well above and beyond in his care.
