Iāve been to lots of pet cafes in various countries, unfortunately this one is far from my expectations when it comes to animals cafe. The instrumentalisation of dogs to entertain customers and make money out of this is alarming on this type of human-animals relationships.
instead of letting dogs do their own thing, they are constantly being asked to do tricks so they can treats. Whether itās posing for photos every 10 minutes, rolling around, turning, giving the paw. Animals should learn these things to get smarter, not to entertain human crowds.
the animals are therefore, fully hypnotised by the treats. they donāt care about customers, they see them as opportunities to get food and thatās it. they will never even make eye contact with you and will only give you their paw to show the waitresses / manager that they did what they were asked to do, so better give them treats right.
the manager is certainly not a bad person, but clearly an overly controlling person that is constantly telling the dogs what and what not to do, and unfortunately she does not have the softest voice to hear. This leaves no room for customers to connect with the animals in a genuine way. On top of that, Iāve seen her lifting up the dogs like babies (by their front legs) which can strain their ligaments /!. There is a clear lack of training in proper dog education.
children (and adults) come to this place, and they are being exposed to a really bad concept of what human-dog relationship should be about. Instead of exposing them to warmth, authenticity, genuine friendly connections, they are exposed to a conceptualised environment of pure control over the animals, as if they were toys to whom we just ask to do this / do that and dress them up like we want, and take photos.
Animals should not be this overly stimulated by food to sustain this much reliance on humans. They are beings who should be also used to being bored, walking around, exploring their environment.
Lastly, plastic cups can be replaced by reusable cups to be minimally environmentally friendly and even for customers it would be much nicer.
In sum, this cafe is pretty much like a zoo. Hopefully in the future, they will come to question themselves and realise that dogs are not made for the sole purpose of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe business pattern is similar to The Huskitory.
You need to purchase a ticket for Rm 22 which include one drink. I ordered Ice Lemon Tea, taste is average, Top up Rm6 if you want to have coffee.
Corgis are small breed dog, easy to take care.
Corgiās body odor is less strong, So if you are new to dogs, It will be easy and pleasant for you.
If you are newbie on how to interact with dog, recommended to get dog food for Rm2.
If not, you will miss the fun by staring others enjoying petting and hugging the dog.
Is good if you are here to take photo, Staff will help you take group photo.
However, if you come together with few other groups of customer, then you will have to queue for group photo which is similar to The Huskitory.
If you prefer to contact and play with corgis, it will less satisfying.
Based on my experience, I was staring at other customers for 15-20 minutes while they are taking group photo with corgis.
So, this 15-20 minutes was blank and bored. Customers are impatient as they have no pets to play with.
Luckily the owners are friendly, they let us stay when we pass our one hour time restriction.
I understand time restriction is good for crowd control.
However, some customers may need more time in bonding and playing with the corgis.
I would suggest selling some tickets that is longer than one hour or one day ticket, customers are willing to spend more if they have different needs to be satisfy.
The current rate is Rm22 per hour, may be expensive for customers who have kids and want to stay for 2-3 hours.
Queue for group photos already took 15-20 minutes, May be longer waiting times when there are more customers in future.
Highly recommended for people who likes to take photo, Less recommended for people who wants close contact with corgis, for the time being.
Decent experience, Will come back when they made...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMost worst experience at this cafe. There r alot of animal cafes in Malaysia. Not recommend to come this one.
I brought my OKU child to their cafe, my child dogs and wanted to play with the dogs, thats the reason y i brought him there. During that, my child pushed a waitress in the cafe (as wat shown by cctv), then the waitress cried. The ladyboss came to me and speak loudly said that my child hugged her waitress and told me that last week got one OKU also hugged her waitress. I was like "when did my son hug your waitress, and the last week story is not our matter, its incredible n vry rude that she said like my son has molest her waitress.
First, u can talk to me about this matter in good voice not to speak loudly to let everybody know and said last week story, makes everybody feels that my son intended to molest your waitress, but actually my son only pushed your waitress. As he is OKU, he was focused on the dogs, i can apologised to u bcos he pushed your waitress, its just a small matter, but u dont hv to talk that loud n defile a child.
Second, last week matter is not because of us. U can make report or anything on them, thats your matter, not ours. Be careful when u say something. What if a normal child pushed your waitress? Will u come to me to confront me, n say last week story? Thats your bias to special...
