Located in Citrine Hub level 2 beside Mr DIY. Access via Tuas from Singapore would be nearer than from woodlands checkpoint.
Driving or grab here would both work fine. Public transport not much so.
It was packed on a Sat night at 6+pm. Staff were really friendly. Free flow side dishes were served promptly after ordering. All the side dishes were up to par!
The Mul-naengmyeon came first. It was one of the best I've tasted. Ice kept the dish cold. The sourish taste is balance not overwhelming but makes it very appetising. Buckwheat noodles chewy but not overly like some other places I had. Feels really authentic.
Beef Gimbap came next. Nicely cut and the fillings were generous!
Next up the original fried chicken, it was tender and hot. Pretty much like by the group. Personally loved the flavoured ones more but next time I'll try it.
BBQ pork belly came with some chives and bean sprout. It was really good for me, fatty good but not overly but on the oilier side. But pork belly so ya it's oilier than usual BBQ.
Army Stew came last. It was pretty authentic. Came with 3 ramyeon, spam, cheese, sausages and rice cakes etc. It was on the spicier side (for someone who can't really take spicy).
Overall experience was 👍🏼. Friendly staff who take orders at table. For refill of side dishes, please ask staff. Price is also decent overall especially with the food quality. Be prepared for queue during peak timing and days although mall isn't exactly the most crowded ones.
Highly recommend if you're...
Read moreOMG. I can't believe I am writing this review but I used to visit teumsae a lot ever since I was a student in Sunway International School but as I was having dinner there today and almost finishing my food, I found a lizard on the side of my bowl that was STILL ALIVE. I was so shocked and jumped up, and immediately notified one of the workers to come and get it and the waitress was still giggling when she was taking the lizard. No one apologized. No one said sorry. Until I told her that I want to see her manager but then she couldn't even understand what I was saying. At last, one of the customers there (who identified himself as the owner's friend) reached out to me and told me to give my number so that the owner will reach out to me. But I am so shocked??? Like I get that the restaurant definitely did not expect this to happen but what pissed me off is the fact that no staff apologized, no staff asked if I was okay or tried to understand the situation even better, and the waitress who helped was even giggling. ???? And I was already finishing my food. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking abt how the lizard may have been on top of some of my side dishes while I was having my dinner. Please if you think I am accusing your shop check the CCTV because I am genuinely very shocked that this happened and disappointed with the unprofessionalism of...
Read moreUsed to frequent this restaurant as food and price was decent, and place and environment was quiet.
However, was extremely turned off today and left in anger without even eating.
There was this ? chinese/korean man who wasnt there the previous times we went (not sure if is the boss/new boss). When we went in, the shop was entirely empty, so we sat at a table in the middle (with no reservation signage). The table was for 8 but there were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids. And this guy requested for us to shift (despite the shop being empty) to a 4-seater table at the corner (with the wall bench). We asked if we could shift to a table for 6 instead, or another table at the other side as the table he directed us was not suitable as we needed the kids to be on one side of the table each. But he insisted that we can only sit at that particular table.
What we couldn't understand is that the shop is entirely empty and he just refused for us to sit at the other empty tables. Extremely rude and extremely turned off. I'll never come back again.
With this kind of service attitude, you can just have the whole shop empty...
