Came here for dinner after see my friends posted on social media. We ordered 2 type of Korean fried chicken, spicy soy sauce, and garlic, a spicy toufu soup, jjajiangmyeon, and Korean rice ball (forget to take picture). The spicy soy sauce fried chicken is decent, however the spiciness is not there, as compared to K fry, they have stronger spicy level. The garlic fried chicken is good too, but also lack of garlic fragrance, like a normal soy sauce fried chicken with no garlic taste. The spicy toufu soup is one of the best I had with so many Korean restaurants. The taste, texture, and aroma is just perfect! Highly recommended! On the other hand, the Jjajiangmyeon was quite a fail. The noodle is soggy, and the sauce is over fluid. Taste was that great, and the meat were very tough. The rice balls were good, the overall ingredients inside the rice ball make it very tasteful. Good job. Too bad the Korean pancakes are out of order, might wanna try it on the next visit. Good place for quick bite of fried chicken after practicing golf in Xpark.

Koco Dak has quickly become a popular spot in Johor Bahru for Korean fried chicken lovers, and for good reason. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect: What Stands Out: • Crispy, Flavorful Chicken: The star of the show is undoubtedly the fried chicken. The batter is consistently crispy, and the chicken itself is juicy and tender. They offer a variety of flavors, from the classic original to the sweet and spicy yangnyeom, and even more adventurous options like garlic soy. • Generous Portions: Koco Dak is known for its generous portions. A half-chicken order is usually enough to satisfy two people, making it a great value for money. • Authentic Korean Sides: Beyond the chicken, they offer a selection of Korean side dishes like kimchi, pickled radish, and coleslaw, which complement the meal perfectly. • Casual and Lively Atmosphere: The restaurant has a casual and lively atmosphere, making it a great place to hang out with friends and family.

Sept '24: Finally found a chance to come back. Food is really good and the Korean lady boss was friendly. Service is quick and good. March '24: Chanced upon this when the teppanyaki place we wanted to go was full and it turned out to be SO GOOD! When we stepped in, it was crowded with the local Korean community. The soy sauce fried chicken was crispy, flavourful and not too salty. The cold noodles with grilled pork was so delicious that we finished the huge portion. We also ordered steamed eggs, fish cake udon, steamed dumplings, fried pork cutlet, soju and 2 cokes. The bill came up to RM218 which was superb value! Will definitely be back to try their other dishes!

This is a small little place by the corner and the interior is rather unassuming. However though, the food took us by surprise.

Ordered: Spicy tofu soup (beside the soy bean soup) Soy sauce fried chicken Kimchi Pancake Rice ball Barley Tea

Spicy Tofu soup had so much ingredients it felt like a delicious stew, very delicious! The soy sauce chicken was hands down my favourite! Extra crispy, sweetness and savoury blended to perfection - other customers were coming in just to have the fried chicken and some beer at about 9pm. The Kimchi pancake was okay, it tastes amazing but only the outer circumference parts were crispy. Towards the middle was kinda mushy. As others have commented, the rice balls were one of their best dishes. Very flavourful! And if you're pregnant and worried that there's roe in it, we've checked with the staff to confirm that the orange bits are NOT fish roe. Barley Tea for palette cleanser quite aromatic.

Oh one thing that stood out for me was, I don't normally eat the pickled radishes when having Korean, but the pickled radishes here are just the right crunch, and not overly sour. They actually go really well with the fried chicken somehow.

Will definitely be back again for...

We ordered 3 items, 2 half boned chicken (sweet and sour + spicy soy) and 1 butter french fries via Food Panda with a total amount close to 90 ringgits.

While receiving our order we saw a note from the restaurant informing us that they have an 86 of boned chicken, so they changed our chicken to boneless chicken which we only found out at that moment.

It was rather disappointing as we wanted boned chicken and restaurant did not seek our permission prior to proceeding it with the alternatives.

Meanwhile, the food we ordered were not enough to properly fed 3 person (2 ladies and 1 man) who are all not a hearty eater, so it is imaginable that how small the portion was, how I wish I had took a photo to show it over here.

However the positive side is the food was delicious, but we hope that the restaurant can show respect to customers and honour whatever has been ordered and also to review the portion of the food if it is reasonable to serve such a small portion with the price...
