We came on a Saturday evening. We didnt have a reservation, but were still seated immediately. One thing to note... they appear to be super popular and were hosting one or two very large groups. So it was really quite noisy too with people talking loudly and also some children screaming. Haha... It seems like they are a small crew, and were struggling with the volume. Nevertheless, they really tried to mitigate, and they offered us some small complimentary tomato bruschettas. And then they also tried their best to rush our appetizers. We arrived at around 7pm... our main courses were served only around 830pm. We were really very hungry by this time haha so I do not have perfect photos of the food! Nevertheless.... they are popular and so so busy and packed for a good reason. The food is stunning. Everything that was served to us appeared to be made from scratch or wonderfully homemade. The gorgonzola sauce on the meatvalls was really an excellent touch. And our papardelle pasta as well... simply delicious. Staff were all very nice, just maybe a bit frazzled because they are so busy. So do be patient with them. Price wise, yes, it's really on the expensive side. But you can tell they use premium ingredients, and to be able to do food at the highest quality...
Read moreWow. Was looking for an Italian dinner and instead of going to our usual haunt, we googled for the fun of it. Viola! Da Zio Francesco popped up. Hardly any authentic Italian joints in Iskandar Puteri so of course we had to try. Newly opened and happy to see an Italian chef owner at the door. First off the Tris Di Buschhetta was eye poppingly yummy. And you know how if a place can deliver on the simplest of dishes like a Spaghetti Bolognese, then you know the rest of the dishes are going to hit the right notes. The spaghetti was al dente to perfection while the minced beef was gravied like how a homemade bolognese should be. My husband polished it. The rest of the dishes tasted like they came out of the kitchen of an Italian grandma - homely, unpretentious and flavourful. Don't burp yourself out of the restaurant without trying the Panna Cotta. Amazingly delicious. Creamy, not overly sweet and lightly drizzled with caramel, one was not enough. So good. So happy we have another authentic Italian restaurant to add to our list of...
Read moreThe family just had dinner here celebrating Father’s Day. The restaurant is located within a shophouses commercial zone and occupies one unit at level one I supposed.
There was ample parking space located at the doorstep to the restaurant which was very convenient.
We were quickly seated upon entering. The wall was painted like a scenery from Italy which was very nicely done. Menu was simple and not extensive which can be a good thing. We ordered a number of dishes which included pastas, steak and desserts. All the dishes oozed home-cooked goodness and tastiness. Just something which can be subjective, we found the lasagne a tat too salty for us. Ingredients used for the dishes were fresh. The steak was of a good quality too. At the end of the dinner, the executive chef Patricia actually dropped by our table to check with our food, which was a kind gesture; very professional. And when we left, the staff greeted us goodbye which was friendly and welcomed. Prices were steep by...
