A&W (Mid Valley Southkey) — Restaurant in Johor

Time and date of dine in 2.13pm on 30 October 2023.

There was only one other customer dining in. I was the only one queuing. I greeted the cashier hello. She didn’t even ask what I want to eat. She just waited for my order without saying anything. While ordering, she proceeded to arrange some trays on the counter really roughly and loudly. She then replied me on my order like we are arguing or something. I told my wife what did I say to make her talk to me so rudely..making sure she heard me..then she calmed down and talk to me properly. She wasn’t wearing a name tag so I am not able to identify her. She was wearing orange shirt and attending the cashier.

So I placed the order and her colleague was putting the order together. She grabs a paper plate but it slipped out of her hand and fell on the floor. She pretends no one saw it and continues to put on the table and use it. She was wearing a name tag and her name was something g like Hazibah. Female staff wearing black. She pass the paper plate that fallen down to her male colleague and ask him to throw the paper plate away after I confronted them.

Saw the shop had almost 4/5 ratings and thought it must be good. Well at least the food met expectations. Cleaniness? Questionable. Try at own risk.

Would I come back? Probably not.

The staff here was really bad. First of all while I was queueing, I was at the front of the line when a random person suddenly called out the staff and they attended to her. I do not speak Malay but is it normal for people to be able to randomly just cut the line and get what they want? After that when I ordered I only got 3 drinks. I was watching the screen showing my number under the 'preparing' section. However after about 2 minutes, my number disappeared. I thought that was normal and waited but I waited for over 15 minutes to finally realise something was wrong and had to get the staff to check again. Turns out they just blatantly 'forgotten' my order and finally went to make it while laughing with the other staff. I feel like the staff here at A&W show their bias to their own kind and would treat those who are not Malays lot worse than compared...

Came here for breakfast and this outlet opened at 10am on Saturday. We ordered the Breakfast Set (Rm31.40) included Chicken Coney, French Fries, 1 piece of Chicken, and Root Beer Float.

Chicken Coney was topped with a lot of sauces which fully covered the sausage. It's coney was very soft and it was quite hard for us to pick it up. The whole thing was way too creamy for me. Fries are well done, hot & crispy. I got a chicken back freshly fried, hot & spicy.

As for the Root Beer, you have to add extra $1 if you want to add ice cream on it. They will up size to a giant glass mug which was very heavy. Be careful when you are carrying your...
