My experience at TGI Friday's in Mid Valley left much to be desired, particularly concerning the dishes I ordered: the quesadilla and seafood platter. I had high hopes for the meal, but unfortunately, it failed to meet expectations.
Let's start with the quesadilla. Traditionally, this Mexican dish is a flavorful blend of melted cheese, meat, and vegetables sandwiched between two tortillas, grilled to crispy perfection. However, the rendition I received at TGI Friday's lacked the essential elements that make a quesadilla memorable. The cheese was sparse, failing to provide the gooey, indulgent texture one expects. The tortillas were disappointingly soggy, lacking the crispy exterior that should contrast with the cheesy interior.
Moving on to the seafood platter, which typically promises an array of flavors and textures to tantalize the taste buds. Sadly, this platter fell short in every aspect. The selection lacked diversity, with each item resembling the next in both taste and presentation. The fish were dry and lacking in seasoning. Even the dipping sauces failed to elevate the experience, offering nothing more than generic, uninspired flavors.
Overall, my dining experience at TGI Friday's in Mid Valley was underwhelming. The dishes I ordered failed to deliver on taste, quality, and presentation. While I appreciate the effort put into creating a diverse menu, execution is paramount, and unfortunately, it fell short on all fronts. As a result, I left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and unlikely to return...
Read moreDear TGI Friday,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent visit to your restaurant during Ramadhan Month. Unfortunately, both the service and food quality fell short of expectations, especially during the important time of iftar.
Firstly, the service from the host was unwelcoming. The woman at the front—whom I’ve seen previously without a hijab(Wavy Hair) but noticed now wears one during Ramadhan—appeared grumpy and not in a good mood throughout. There was no warmth or hospitality in her approach; she did not smile, rushed us to place our order, and made the experience uncomfortable from the start. Additionally, when our food was delayed, there was no apology or acknowledgement, despite it being time to break our fast.
As for the food, the signature burger—which we were looking forward to—arrived late. On top of that, it was not cooked as requested. We specifically asked for it to be medium-well, but it was overcooked and lacked the expected quality.
This experience was quite disappointing, especially during the holy month where service and attentiveness are even more appreciated. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues with your team to ensure a better dining experience for future customers. Other than that, all the other food is was...

Luv the texture n flavour😋. We came again on Labour Day Monday evening 1 May 2023 with a bigger crowd bcos the lamb ribs and mushroom soup were BECKONING us for a RETURN TRIP. Eventhough there were a few hiccups while receiving our drinks and food TGIF staffs had been PATIENT n COURTEOUS remaining FRIENDLY n SMILING at all times while attending to our request. Were quite suprised to be approached by TGIF BOSS who make time to find out if we are happy or not with TGIF food n service. Once he found out that we were celebrating my husband retirement n his belated birthday he immediately request his staff to present us a slice of cake topped with vanilla ice cream as a birthday gift to my husband. Was very TOUCH with his gesture but the REAL ICING ON THE CAKE was when TGIF staffs sang "We will rock you" followed by a birthday song to my VERY VERY SHY husband who tried to ran away but was unsuccessful😂🤭. Eventhough I am not the birthday boy, I would like to THANK ALL TGIF STAFF for such a WONDERFUL HAPPENING NIGHT TO...
