One of the best asam pedas in town from since i was in primary school! Great place to start your tour around the city Fast and friendly service from the amazing staffs! We had 2 stingray (asam pedas ikan pari) 1 taugeh 1 salted egg 1 fried egg 2 plate of rice And 1 sirap bandung with 3 otak otak All for RM33 Even though I paid cash, but I think I saw a qr code to pay online. Plenty of parking but you may need to cross a very busy road if you are parking at the other side of the road. The crowd are massive at times which makes it hard to accommodate everyone due to the limited space of the place. But with their fast service, all can kaotim!

Location is beside the main Street, you might miss it if you didn't look carefully. Or you can park beside the main Street and walk there. It is at the middle of main Street so parking is not a big problem there. Surprisingly the staff are incredibly friendly. Rarely to see this for a busy place. The asam pedas is very nice and gao(sorry for my Malaysia English) Saw a lot of people ordering the taugeh but too bad I never order, should try it next time I visit Overall it is a good experience

Man Cathay is always our first choice of asam pedas in Batu Pahat. Our favourite dish is pari (stingray) and red snapper. The fish served fresh and cooked right there in the open kitchen. The service is swift and friendly, parking spots also aplenty. Patrons should also try rojak, salted egg and fried egg as condiments.
