Given the rating was above 4, I visited this place for the 1st time on 16th June 2024 for dinner and I had the most disappointing dining experience ever. 1st) the waiting time for the dishes to be serve was ridiculously long - more than 1.5hrs! Several tables were occupied with hungry customers just waiting for their food to be served. Some with poor hungry children starting to get impatient and cranky. It's was obvious that the chef was extraordinarily slow. Some eventually left as they could no longer wait. The speed between the dishes being served took quite long as well. Hence, their process/procedures is to go from table to table, completing the full orders for 1 or 2 tables, 1 by 1 at a time, leaving many other tables with customers empty. 2ndly) despite after having waited for a phenomenally long time, they missed out on some dishes in our orders. Apparently they had not enter it into the order. Requesting for the missing dish would also mean having to Q again for our turn before they can serve the missing dish because they had moved on to other tables. In other words, that could mean they will probably come back to us only after they have completed the orders for all the other tables. 3rd) the place was filled with large flies and bugs and 4th) the food was merely mediocre. In fact it was below average. I.e. the salt in the fried rice and rice itself was not mixed evenly. You can still find lumps of white rice sticking together and tasteless. Finally 5th) the price for the food wasn't even near cheap. We paid like Rm683 for a dish of 1 small crab, medium prawns, vegetables, 1 sweet sour pork ribs, 1 medium fried rice. 1 medium black Hokkien noddles, 1 small baby squid, I small squid rings and 1 medium oyster egg, and 5 soft drinks for 5 of us. In view of all the above points, I don't see why it is worth to go there for dinner. Considering all the time wasted in waiting, the poor service, the quality of food which doesn't even commensurate with the cost for dinner. I feel that the food is overpriced. For paying just slightly a little more, you could be enjoying buffet dinner with quality food and varieties at the Sheraton hotel in Desaru. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone else and I advise you not to waste any of your...
Read moreOn September 7, 2024, we visited this seafood restaurant with high expectations based on positive reviews. As crab and lobster enthusiasts, we seek out fresh seafood at reasonable prices.
We ordered one salted egg crab and one chili crab, both requested in the recommended large size of over 700 grams. The salted egg crab, while slightly shrunk, was acceptable. However, when the chili crab was served, we noticed it was missing its legs. Upon inquiring, the waitress explained that the legs might have fallen off during cooking. If this is the case, it raises concerns about the crab's freshness.
After we raised our concerns, the incharge agreed to provide a replacement. The new chili crab was indeed fresh and juicy. This experience left us questioning why the initial dish was not served in a satisfactory condition and whether the restaurant was trying to cut corners.
While we appreciated the quality of the lobster, which we thoroughly enjoyed, we are unlikely to return due to our concerns about honesty and food quality. In business, honesty is crucial. Attempts to cut corners can lead to losing many customers.

Read moreDuring my golf trip, I stumbled upon a delightful seafood restaurant near my hotel. After a day on the course, we indulged in a feast of various seafood dishes. The hot plate oyster omelette was particularly delicious, and the fried lala with spicy sauce was a standout, perfectly complementing the single malt. The fried baby squid and salted egg squid paired wonderfully with a few beers. I couldn't resist ordering the local greens, rich in fiber and bursting with flavor. The steam grouper fish and garlic prawns were incredibly fresh and irresistible. While the stewed pork with preserved vegetables was worth a try, it felt somewhat out of place in a seafood restaurant. The chicken with salted fish fried rice and pork belly bee hoon left something to be desired, as they seemed a bit bland to my taste. Nevertheless, the chili crab was exceptional, especially when enjoyed with freshly fried buns. The ambiance was warm, with just the right level of air conditioning, making for a comfortable and clean...
