By the time he brought us here for lunch, it was already 4:00 pm!!! My wife was satisfied with the Ayam Penyet, and went for that. So did Abang Fadhil...Kak Min ordered the Fried Koey Teow, while Rosli & Yazlin shared a bowl of Asam Pedas Ikan Mabong. They confessed that it was quite spicy, and I wouldnt be able to handle it. After considering the options available to me, I eventually decided on the Gearbox Soup set, which came with a plate of white rice and Fried Egg. Unfortunately, it was just so-so...
I just wish that we would be introduced to some special dishes unique to Kluang only, but I guess that was a little bit too much...
Read moreFinally, visited this Asam Pedas place. Went there at 12nn, but was told by ice delivery guy they open at 12.30pm or so. Then, went back at 12.45pm, was informed they'll operates at 2pm due prayer on a Friday!
I only managed to enjoy early dinner, Siakap Asam Pedas (myr10 for a sliced of fish w 2 pieces of ladyfinger & steamed white rice) at 5'ish after dropped by the 3rd time!! A little salty, taste ok for frozen fish. Ambience is acceptable, considered clean for a malay resto.

Pleasantly informed ahead of surcharge for different type of fishes. The taste of asam pedas (red snapper) is fantastic and good for the rest but chicken paprik taste not to my liking. The next time I come I probably order more of the Asam pedas and skip the rest. You can also order great beef or lamb satay from opposite stall to compliment your meal. Skip the chicken, too...
