1st time here for late lunch / early dinner. Non Halal Restaurant. The setting or decoration of the restaurant will miss lead you that this is a pub or drinking place. The price is on the high side but still can pamper yourself to a good meals. They actually have the most choices for you to choose you main course.. snacks.. western.. Fusion of Malay.. Korean.. Japanese .. Chinese. Ranging from snacks.. pasta.. pizza.. local rice version.. fusions.. Westerns.. deserts and drinks is way above the normal selection you find a restaurant. Tried the BBQ Pork Rib rice don.. the pork rib was done well.. the other ingredients in the bowl is balue for money.. pickles.. radish.. onsen egg. Is will balance combination. Also tries the Chessy Mushroom Mustard Cream Chicken Chop serbed with French fries and simple salad ( olive oil and balsamic vinegar). The sauce is over the roof, generous with the mushrooms in the sauce. The other dish ordered is the Nacho with Cheese and Avocado Salsa. The nacho and the cheese was quick baked in oven and the taste was superb when you bite into the burned cheese. The disappointment side on the Nacho with Cheese is the the missing Avocado salsa.. there isn't any salsa inside. 🤔🤔🤔 The Menu is " Nacho with Cheese and Avocado Salsa"......

My occasionally revisited cafe. Ground floor is bar & kitchen, upstairs caters more to cafe goers. The desert, foods, drinks are delicious and carefully prepared. The ingredients are fresh, the ambience are both great as well. Overall very good but pricing slightly high in Muar standards. Dinner + beer pricing was reasonable at about RM40 per pax. But casual cafe chill out also cost about the same as their toast and crepe is selling RM20++ per serving. We ordered standard beverages like hot lemon tea + snacks cost RM75 for 3 pax. Overall still recommended as it never disappoints you, value for money. 8/10 will visit again.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and there wasn’t much crowd hence service was prompt and good. The spicy chilli wantons were good, I wouldn’t mind it even spicier! The fish and chips were sooo crispy and thoroughly enjoyed. The striploin was cooked perfectly with the middle still rare and meat tender but it was over seasoned and salty hence the deducted one star from me. Overall the ambiance is nice, but with only 2 servers on duty, service could be delayed if the place was full. Extensive menu consisting of both western and oriental dishes to cater to all. Enjoyable and will come back again!

We ordered but didn't even eat! WHY??? My husband and I thought that we ordered the food and can enjoy it. BUT! We were asked to pay for the food FIRST before we even see the food. We walked out. I ask you: is this a self-service cafe? If this is self-service, I understand pay first eat later. But I'm sure After Samps is a full fledged cafe and quite classy. But why adopt such a system? For 1st time customers, it's very confusing. Upstairs to cafe no signage to indicate the cafe but opposite with the signage is the KITCHEN! You make customers 'blur-blur' and EMBARRASSED. Then if you order wine/beer, you pay downstairs! WHAT system is this? We've been to lots of eateries (all sorts - local and abroad) but we never encounter such a unique way to order and pay! After Samps, you have lost 2 good customers and their families and friends...and friends....and friends...... YOUR CAFE IS NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! I wouldn't give a single star but forced to because wanted to...

Food is good but the lack of communication and quick response when ordering for takeaway and pick up can be improve. I was pretty straight forward when communicating to the person on WhatsApp about my order for takeaway but he took awhile to reply. At that moment, was contemplating on ordering another store but I give them a chance. On my way to pick up, I notify them that if the food is ready just notify me as Pesta is always full with cars and I need to double park temporarily to pick up, but no one replied,. Ended up waiting for 15 min as he said to picked up. The lack of communication and quick response is something to look into it. I’ll still be supporting the restaurant but I feel this is something to look into if they continue to offer pick up and takeaway...
