San Low Fried Bee Hoon = RM15.00 Ginger & Onion Ostrich Meat = RM30.00
Service Charge 6% = RM2.73 Service Tax 6% = RM2.72
On a Saturday Dinner Primetime at 8.00pm, the Entire Place was Crowded with Customers. This is basically like a Classic Chinese Styled Big Scale Zi Char / Seafood Restoran. Its not Air-Conditioned and because of so much Customers, can feel Humid and Sweaty even when they've tried their best to install Multiple Fans. If you are someone who cannot live without Aircon, this place might not be suitable for you.
Most of the Serving Staffs are Myanmar Folks. They are Friendly, Polite, Mostly Keep to Themselves, and are Very Busy working around all over the Place. Some Google Reviewers also complained they are also Neither Conversant in either English or Malay. Personally I feel the Staffs are all trying their Best as they're really busy. I had no issues communicating with them myself when ordering though.
It took 18 Mins for the Ostrich Dish and 22 Mins for the San Lou Beehoon. Everything was served up within 22 Mins which although was a Very Long Time, for me was Understandable because it was a Saturday Primetime when I went. At least they didn't forgot any Dishes.
Ginger & Onion Ostrich Meat = RM30.00 San Low Fried Bee Hoon = RM15.00

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
At the Price of RM30.00 (S$9.10) is not say Cheap for this Plate of Ginger & Onion Ostrich Meat 𓅦 but you are indeed getting alot of Meat here. I reckon the 28 Pieces come up to at least 200g or so? Really Big Plate despite a Small, this is meant more for 2-3 People.
Having said that, as a Person who prefers to actually taste more 原味 Original Taste of the Meat, I feel these are Over-Marinated and Velveted so much that the Original Meat Taste is probably lost. I'm not saying that what they do is wrong, its just that I feel perhaps Zi Char Style of Braised Marination Style is perhaps not the Best Way to taste the Meat's 原味 Original Taste.
At the Price of RM15.00 (S$4.60) for the Signature San Low Fried Bee Hoon also isn't that Cheap given that this is essentially just Fried Beehoon if you think about it.
Whether you like this Dish or not highly depends on whether you are ok with the Level of Crispness for this. As I looked thru all the Google Reviews of this place, taste really is very subjective. Some people love the Crisp Level, while some others hate it.
I'm personally neither Wowed nor Disappointed by this. It was Decent Tasting but as I have never tasted the True Original Version by Ah Kaw, I will reserve my Judgement when I eventually taste his version. What this Dish is for me however is that it is basically a Carb Canvas for you to eat with other Side Dishes. Its perfect to eat with a Protein or Veggie. I enjoyed the Alternate Slight Crisp and Softness of the Beehoon while I ate it with the Ostrich Meat although this isn't something that is absolutely Mind-Blowingly Amazing. It works well for what it is. A Carb Canvas.
Overall, this was a Decent Zi Char Meal. It wasn't Super Affordable and Taste wasn't Super Amazing Mind-Blowing Level, but they were Reasonably Tasty. The Only Issue I have is that this Place really is Very Humid and Warm. So if you are someone who die die need Aircon, you might need to take note of this. If you are looking to enjoy some Zichar if you're in Stulang Laut, is Agreeable with the Prices on their Menu, and don't mind that this Place is Very Warm and Humid, I can recommend to give this place a try although you also need to temper your expectations.

Read moreI rarely rant, give bad ratings or reviews, but this place needs a waker-uper.
Service is atrocious.
25 minutes after informing that we would like to place our orders for food, did someone finally pay heed to us.
If this wasn't a restaurant setting, judging by the number of hands up by the patrons, one would be forgiven to think that there's a "silent auction" going on, or that they're was an ongoing Pandemic of sweaty armpits that need airing.
Items ordered: - Gan Xiang Crabs (3/10). How can one screw up the Crabs to the extent of deep frying until the meat in the legs are gone? It was totally destroyed by that method of deep frying, and not tossing.
Salad You Tiao (2/10) Think of Fried Mantous, but in the form of Youtiaos. Texture and taste were more like deep fried bread. The accompanying dip was their version of Mayonnaise, gone wrong. Highly recommended... NOT!
San Low Beehoon (10/10) They'd better not fail this dish.
Curry Boar (9/10) Tasty hog on a plate.
Sambal Sotong (9/10) Sambal was tasty.
Sambal Potato Leaves (7.5/10) Regular tasting. Nothing to shout. They screwed up the order at first, by sending a non-sambal version, despite repeatedly reconfirming that we wanted the Sambal version.
Pork Rib King (3/10) The quintessential for most Chinese restaurants , but definitely not one of their fortes. Tasted weird, in almost my half century of existence on Earth. Lacked the tartness from the vinegar and ketchup, dilutted. I cant imagine their sweet and sour pork.
When we placed a second round of orders for two additional cans of Coke, they had the gall to send it without ice, as we were already given for the first round. You guessed it. Silent auction time again. I gave up airing my armpits, and decided to walk over and request from the beverages section personally. The attitude given by the lady floored me completely. She said that it was impossible, and I had no choice but to challenge her by inviting her to my table to have a look at the number of cups, versus the number of cans. Reluctantly gave me two cups, but half filled, whilst mumbling to herself.
I guess that this is a case of being complacent in business ethics. I'm not expecting a 3 or 4 star service, but at the very least, the basic fundamentals of an eatery.
A very disappointing experience...
Read moreWe’ve had San Low growing up as Dad used to order takeaways back home for us. He would order at least 4 packets of the fried bee hoon which we would then have it for dinner over the next 2 days.
This was the first time that we actually dined in the restaurant in JB itself. Without a doubt, eating there, with the food being served piping hot made the familiar dishes that we had growing up taste so so so much better! We decided to have an early dinner since we didn’t have lunch and also because we didn’t want to have to battle with the dinner crowd. We dropped by about 4pm, just as they opened and surprisingly enough, we weren’t first ones there.
We ordered all the classics that Dad had ordered for the us over the years and then some.
2 x San Low Fried Bee Hoon 1 x Prawns cooked in Salt & Garlic 1 x Chilli Crab with 8 x Fried Mantou 1 x Sambal Lala 1 x Fried Baby Squid 1 x Sweet Potato Leaves 1 x Nabai cooked in Garlic
Every dish was a hit with the fam and we wiped everything! The dishes came out at a good pace and it was clear they served the dishes right after they’ve been plated ensuring that it was fresh and hot. Granted, we were only 1 out of 3-4 tables that were there so the waiting time was nominal.
Service was good and we were attended to promptly enough every time we looked around for service. But once again, the disclaimer is that we had a really early dinner and there were only a handful of tables.
One more thing to note is that, it is really hot & very humid so you’ve got to be prepared to sweat while you eat and chug down some Thai coconut to try...
