It’s a hidden gem. I really love this place. It’s the perfect place to hide away from the clamour of the city, staying close to the water, mingling with visitors from foreign lands, listening to strange conversations that aren’t that local, drinking coffee and completing work.
It’s a true spark of creativity. I’ve met a few ambitious young entrepreneurs here, foreigners coming to invest, construction companies and real estate agents talking about recent trends, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Medics students all here to talk about things that are not what I encounter in other cafes in JB, which are either filled with locals or Singaporeans.
The drinks are great, staff are friendly, and atmosphere feels like vacation in foreign countries. It’s a unique Starbucks experience here. I am beginning to love the dolphins and the crows, the serenity and the plants in the breeze, the bar seats in front of the blue panels where tourists outside use as a mirror to take selfies, which are cute.
After a long morning of quiet work, I usually walk just across the road, there’s a nice Indian food restaurant where I usually get prata for lunch before heading home. Good time...
Read moreIt's Starbucks so by definition it's a VERY expensive place by local Malaysian standards and the coffee is really pretty bad. But almost all other drinks that are NOT based on horrible ground coffee are pretty FABULOUS 😂 🤣 🤣. It's nice to have a Starbucks at Danga Bay area and I do hope they stay around - it's definitely a classy and upmarket place to hang out. The cashier wasn’t really aware of what food is gluten-free and conveyed the wrong message that everything is gluten-free😅 fortunately, the other staff (manager i guess) able to help. Yes NONE of food is gluten-free though I saw some of the food are vegan (good for those who don’t or can’t take dairy products).
