The new restaurant place is more spacious compare to old place, but the service had extremely poor after this new move in.. Few weeks ago, I went to make a take away order, I request to get the sushi direct from belt but the staff say cannot..after wrote the order I found there is some special sushi which is not in the menu the staff give us, so I request direct take it from belt. The staff pass to counter and they prepare our order which is only about 12 items for more than 45min in the waiting seat inside restaurant(in not crowded hour), until I found dine in people who come late than us but already finished eating and yet get their order first then i ask the counter only know our sushi already pack but those item that I take from BT they put back already and forgot what we take.. Forgot but why no ask? Why just let both us sit like stupid waiting, that time only 2 of us, no other take away order or people.. Few days ago, we went there again for dine in, we already press the button 3times and waving our hand within 10mins seating, but no staff came to serve us.. Until we catch one of the staff who come to clean the table near to us only we get to order.. the cashier too focus to the counter even the counter is not busy.. She saw us need help never come to us, just pretending no see and wait for other staff. If she can't leave the counter, she should ask other staff serve us but not just pretend no see since we just sit the table...

Sadly, the hygiene standard seems no improvement partly due to next customer standing and waiting hence the workers are rushing to clean off the table. Personally, I don't mind waiting a bit longer but making sure the tables are thoroughly cleaned for the next sitting.
Whenever we go Sushi mentai, cawan mushi is our must eat item. It is not just affordable but at the same time the satisfaction of savoury from smooth and silky egg custard in that cup while serves hot is simply niceee!! The quality of cawan mushi is as good as any other japanese restaurant but almost a fraction of a price. The type of sushi dishes on the conveyor belt as always hard to find the nicer items that are found on the 2.80 & 1.80 printed menu and normally we have to write on chit and order. As for the drink of plain green tea, I don't think one can find any more cheaper than Sushi mentai, one whole full jug plus 2 filled cups cost...
Read moreThe place looks a bit messy, but it's something one should expected from a budgetary restaurant. The food is at a good level, sushi are almost identical in taste with those of rivals, but for a fraction of the price, what makes them a great alternative when the fancy interior is not on the agenda. A-la-carte dishes were great as well, with a few remarks though: miso soup is badly oversalted, soba noodles with seaweed in reality looked nothing like on the picture and their quantity was less than desired for that price. Orange juice isn't a juice. I'd definitely try other branches of...
