The Brew House • Cheras Traders Square — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

Oh my! Where do I start!🤦🏻‍♀️ Yesterday was my birthday and we decided to go to this Balakong Brew House.

1. My kids wanted the kids menu and the staff said ok... After bringing the menu to us, the staff literally said all not available 🤦🏻‍♀️. What's the point in going to find the kids menu & bringing to us when it's not available?

2. My son then said he wants the Takoya-something Pizza (that has the seaweed in it), it's was not available. No choice, we ordered a different kind of pizza that taste very bland! Had to take away as it came too late (45mins) after ordering.😪

3. My girls ordered strawberry milkshake, it's was not available due to supplier didn't come as it's CNY period. Understandable. So we ordered the Strawberry Lassi. While ordering the strawberry Lassi, it was a debate with me and the staff as he was saying is as strawberry lichee... Then he go on to say, I know what you mean, we pour syrup, ice & blend... I was shock as Lassi must have yogurt to make it a Lassi. This went on for about 5mins with me debating on the yogurt. I was ready to leave as I was already feeling irritated then he said he will ask the manager and confirm back which he did and said YES! IT HAS YOGURT IN IT🤦🏻‍♀️

4. My husband ordered Nasi goreng Kampung, it's was very spicy, tasteless and the anchovies (ikan bilis) was too hard (masuk angin). Came home, he had to drink milk to ease his stomach ache due to the spiciness.

5. The Highlight is when my food arrived! I ordered Mushroom & bacon soup with Mac and cheese. Oh my... I have never tasted such a terrible mushrooms soup in my entire life. The soup was tasteless. Like it's was water, mushroom, oil, salt and very little bits of bacon. I can recall carefully that Brew House Mushrooms soup to be a little creamy. Just nice with the side of bread. On the other hand, my Mac and cheese was 🤢🤮 too much butter? too much Cheese? It was so overwhelmed that to even finish it was difficult.. I had to share with my kids to finish it..

6. My husband ordered the Chocolate Lava cake as to celebrate my birthday, it's not available as no stock 🤦🏻‍♀️ and the staff force us to chose another kind of cake which we refuse as I'm allergic to the ingredients in the other cake. Hence I didn't cut a cake yesterday. 🥺😔

7. My kids couldn't finish the Strawberry Lassi and wanted to take away. This is my very 1st time that Brew House didn't allow me to take away my drink. This branch. When I question the staff, he said it's in their policy... Like what? And that all Brew House isn't the same. I hope is not the same as we are never coming back to this Balakong branch...

This is my 2nd time going to this branch, the 1st time was really good. The 2nd time is a terrible experience. We will never go to this branch anymore. Worst bday dinner ever!!!

*Brew House Balakong, please find staff that knows what their saying and doing rather that debating with the customer. Thanks.

I didn't want to give any stars but no choice, had to at least give 1...

Maybe my family and I came at the wrong day and at the wrong time as I see that there are many good reviews for this place as well, but this is a review from my experience tonight.

Just had the Grilled Pancetta (Weekend Roast Deal) platter and a Hawaiian pizza for dinner. The pizza was good and tasty.

The shared platter, however, was really different from its illustration. Although the pictures are for illustrative purposes only, one would expect the dish to come out at least similar to the illustration. The potato bread thing was soggy, the pork was overly salty, and the ratatouille had an underwhelming amount of veggie. Needless to say, it was really not worth RM68+.

I appreciate the staff that are working and serving people in this restaurant, but the service here could be better. The staff could be even more well-mannered in the way they speak and serve people.

The ambience is alright, but unfortunately a table of customers indoors were smoking so it made the air inside quite smokey.

This table of customers that were having their dinner were also quite disruptive as they were talking and laughing really loudly. The cashier did say that they made the efforts to talk to those customers about their behavior, but sadly the customers weren't cooperative.

Overall, I wouldn't be coming back here for awhile. Just hoping that things will improve from here as it is still seen as a decent place to chill, have a drink, and have a...

I am a regular customer at brew house Puchong and Sunway Pyramid. I love their food! The best! It taste so good BUT when I came here at Cheras Traders, I was so disappointed. The nasi goreng kampung had petai in it and tasted sweet. I think too much kicap. Then the aglio olio was not spicy at all. I couldn't feel any flavour in it except for the roasted pork. The grilled lamb tasted sweet and sour. Plus they gave me black pepper sauce in a sauce plate. Very different serving. I couldn't finish my food. Felt really horrible. 😫😫 All staffs are always on their phone. And they are not...
