Yuuki Teppan & Sushi — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

Me and my bf have our first brunch on Jan 1, 2025, to celebrate our anniversary. We booked via WhatsApp as we saw the review from REDNote lot of ppl comment about food are nice and affordable. We are the first batch customer on that day. We were very excited for the meal that we going to order. However, things start bad. The meal displayed are not as what we get from the waiters. The meal didn't taste as good as what a Japanese restaurant have to be, just like homemade taste level or maybe below average. But we still think maybe just the first meal, but the following meal until the last all are under our expectations... The raw food such as Amaebi (3 psc), Chirashi Mini Don, all taste like not fresh. Especially the Amaebi can feel the sticky from the meat, and taste not right from other Japanese restaurant.

The food have ruined our happiness, as we have to drive to Kajang there early as per every post saying "car parking hard to find". And we still choose there, all because how lots of ppl drop a good review from REDNote and Google Reviews as well.

But here come the worst part, we have running toilet on night, diarrhea badly, belly hurtful... I have bad symptoms compared to my bf, as feeling vomiting badly while diarrhea on the same time...

Cosy Japanese restaurant with limited seating. Decor is Japanese inspired and wooden partitions create some privacy for diners. Some calming music plays in the background.

Return visit in March 2025 - Service has improved since my last visit! Self order your food using a QR scan and food arrived in about 15 minutes. Drinks were served in about 5 minutes and wait staff were attentive to top up the tea. Kudos to the team 👍🏽.

Food is generally good but you’ll get smallish portions for Ala carte orders. The Iberico Pork chop was somewhat thin for a pork chop. Grilled mackerel however was a decent portion and well grilled. Raw fish and salads are acceptably fresh. Meats are good quality. Gyoza (pork) is recommended.

Mini Don Set comes with 6 small portions of rice topped with various choices - Unagi; Tempura; Pork fried with Onion; Sashimi; Baby Octopus and Omelette with Mentaiko and a bowl of miso soup. This would be sufficient for 2 small eaters. Highly Recommended.
