An established coffee shop in Kajang town, the interior is somewhat crowded and air circulation is impeded by too stalls. This is also not the cleanest of coffee shops and the lady boss can be seen (and definitely can be heard) bossing the staff around.
What keeps me coming back to this place are basically two stalls: Ah Chan Pork Noodles. The stall has been run by a Myanmarese guy for many years now so I’m not sure if he is working for Ah Chan or took over his business, but the taste and quality is almost the same from when Ah Chan was running the stall some years ago. Each bowl of pork noodles is cooked individually and is fresh and sweet with the taste of the pork meat and innards (if you prefer). You can ask him to add more of the garlic lard oil for extra taste and fragrance. This is Highly Recommended. The Wantan Mee and Curry Noodles stall. Both the konlo (dry) Wantan mee and Curry noodles are good. The soup noodles however are not great. My only complaint is that they’re not generous with ingredients. My dry chicken feet Wantan Mee only came with two large chicken feet, two small mushrooms and no wantan in the soup! On a repeat visit, I asked them to add char siew and the ingredients were more generous.
There a new Dai Chow stall now and it seems promising. Will try in future and update here.
For reasons stated earlier, I prefer to just ta pau the food from here and not eat in. Do try the two stalls if you’re...
Read moreOrdered Roasted Pork Char Siew rice. The roasted pork was so good. The skin is really crispy and not too salty. 9/10 ⭐ Char siew was quite good too. Not overly sweet. But some of the burnt part is a bit hard. 8/10 ⭐ Served with decent chili sauce and mild taste soup to cleanse your palette. Portion wise quite reasonable for RM10.
Tried the chicken rice. Chicken was decent. 7/10 🌟 Charsiew+Chicken costs RM11. Portions wise still reasonable.
Tried the Marmite Chicken Fried Rice from the Thai Food Stall. The fried rice was quite fragrant with 'wok hey' flavor. The vegetables used are also fresh and not the frozen package one. The marmite chicken is quite buttery and tastes quite nice. The portions are quite generous forgot RM9 only. Overall 8/10 ⭐
Tried their bangkok fried rice. I really love their fried rice taste. The chicken is the ginger chicken, which taste quite nice. Portions was big. Overall 9/10 ⭐ It costs RM9.
Curry mee taste good but nothing special. It only has 2 piece each of charsiew, chicken, tofu. Not worth for RM9. Taste wise 7/10 ⭐
Mee a bit plain. But the soup...
