We not only went once for dinner we went twice because it was fantastic. Where do I begin…Tayfun and Eileen were the consummate hosts making our evening so special. The atmosphere was lovely with artistic touches, soft lighting and tasteful music in the back ground. Then there was the food, Tayfuns’ artistry begins with his creatively in beautifully blending his Turkish and German heritage to design mouth watering cuisine. I wish I could have tried everything not enough time nor evenings. With this said I would highly recommend the Buffalo wings. Oh my god, talk about mouth- watering good and oh so spicy and there was even blue cheese dip to make this a perfect starter. Loved the Imam Bayildi aka Turkish Eggplant oh so yummy. For anyone who is a salad lover, the Alexendra Balela salad is fit for a king or queen, it was delicious and no wilty leaves to be found. Bring on the Prawns. This dish was luscious and decadent, the prawns were juicy and the olive oil and garlic were waiting for homemade bread for the dipping. Any room for a main…….just had to indulge despite being happily stuffed and ready for a long sleep. We splurged and got stuck into the Albondigas Spanish chicken meatballs with Turkish rice another must have and for a person who doesn’t go with rice, I wanted more. Any desert, There were, oh so yummy deserts, but they will have to wait until we visit the wonderful restaurant in the future. Even if you full to the brim with the delights that have been served, do have a Turkish coffee and if you are lucky it will finish with a surprise. I give my thanks and deep appreciation to Tayfun and Eileen, and look forward to our next culinary adventure and catching up with you both. Big hugs...
Read moreThe place has changed location to lower lever, next to yaht clud, you need to go down via Ramada. Food is definitely the strongest side. We entered kind of looking for it and the lady started the service well, but they seem to have some kind of an issue of meeting client’s requests. They would serve the beer in the can and at first approach refuse to give a glass. Explanation? Some lame excuse they have a regata event. Menu was shorter due to regata again. Anyway food we chose was honestly good (limited to few options, but enough for one lunch). The place itself is not very encouraging, but again you kind of forgive it after finishing what you have had. So strong 4 overall, but please work on service if you wish to be in upper 4s reviews in google.
Ps. After owner’s replay. Yes, it is true I got mugs when asked for glasses to drink beer. To be fair. However first replay from the waiter was “no” we don’t serve beer in glasses. Kind remark. When freaks like us ask for glasses, just give them the glasses. Tell your staff not to negotiate it. It is pointless. Some people simply don’t drink from cans at some point in their lives. Period. Why do I need to go second time to the bar, feel uncomfortable to enjoy my beer. To finish. Your food is very good. I guess we came in a little more challenging time for your business. I wish all the best for you as it is clearly run from the bottom of your and your...
Read moreWe visited this place while a group of us were on vacay in LKW. It was recommended by a few people we met while travelling on the island. It’s a hidden gem.
Entrees- The food is good and fresh and the service is great. They only have 1 Chef and we were there on a busy night but the food kept coming. Plus we ordered multiples as we were hungry. I recommend ordering a few of the entrees to share - highlights were the mussels and gambas. Feta cigars and spanakopita were also great - there are also a lot of veggie options. Our absolute favourite was the checken wings (they are spicy) but delicious.
Mains - we made sure to order different mains to try everything. Tiger chilli prawns were delicious. Great schnitzel, lamb chops were so tender. I also recommend the sea bass and aglio olio (all mains come with sides that pair well)
Dessert - we were quite full but managed the apple strudel - also very nice.
Great cocktails too. I recommend the daiquiri.
Overall great experience + lovely sunset and if you’re lucky you get to see some sea otters and hornbills. Thanks chef Tayfun and Eileen we had...
