I have been to almost all the Bah Kut Teh Restaurant in Klang for the past 30 years and all have their unique different tastes. This shop has caught my friend's attention and he drove all the way from Seremban, picked me up from PJ and we purposely ended up in this Bah Kut Teh shop. The shop is easy to find but not the parking spaces since it's on a Sunday morning. After driving a few rounds, we managed to get one. We were lucky to get a table for ourselves immediately after entering the shop even though it's crowded, seated and were quickly attended by a foreign waitress who speaks a little bit of Cantonese and Hokkien. We ordered 2 Claypot Big Bone Bah Kut Teh soup for 4 persons, 2 Claypot Dry Bah Kut Teh, a bowl of Yu Tiao and a plate of vegetables. Within a few minutes, there were plenty of people queueing up at the entrance waiting to be seated. 40 minutes passes by, our order finally served. Surprised, the portion of Bah Kut Teh served is quite small for 4 persons compared to other Bah Kut Teh shops in Klang and it is filled with quite a lot of Enoki Mushrooms but lesser meat. The Bah Kut Teh soup looks thicker compared to other Bah Kut Teh shops. Both Claypot Bah Kut Teh soup tastes different, thickness of the soup are the same but one pot tastes more salty than the other. Meat is not tender and a little bit hard and dry as though the meat were boiled separately from the Bah Kut Teh Herbs. The taste of Bah Kut Teh soup is not that great as claimed by so many commentators and the best part is, it doesn't really has the Bah Kut Teh Herbal taste. Thickness of the soup is probably due to the Enoki Mushrooms or the added Corn Starch. They are not stingy on giving additional Bah Kut Teh soup when requested. Prices are similar to other Bah Kut Teh shops in Klang but the taste of their Bah Kut Teh soup is far less favourable compared to other shops which has much better, stronger herbal tastes and especially the meat are much tender where the taste of the Bah Kut Teh Herbal flavor sip into the meat. No wander while entering the shop, we hardly could smell the Bah Kut Teh aroma. Well, at least we have tasted it and will continue to explore more Bah Kut Teh shops...
Read moreBak Kut Teh's taste has different interpretation for everyone. Some may like it to be strong taste and some may like it to be light taste. Four Eyes Bak Kut Teh is basically similar taste to most Klang Bak Kut Teh leaning towards Hokkien style of cooking, with strong dark soya taste overpowering the Chinese herbs. We ordered the soup and dry type as well as a bowl of pig trotters. Dry type was tasty with salted fish and dried octopus flavour with spiky chilly mixed in, however they gave us all lean meat, so missing the smell of searing pork fat. Portion size was a little bigger than most shops Soup type, served in a claypot, was 3/10 at best because they mixed in the fried bean curd (foo chuk )too early when boiling the claypot imparting too much fried bean curd taste into the soup. Basically the whole claypot Bak Kut Teh soup tastes like fried bean curd, wasn't good. The pig trotters had the original Four Eyes Bak Kut Teh taste since there were no mixing of other ingredients. As before portion size was a little bigger than many shops. However, it is leaning towards too much dark soya taste. There were no tang kwei taste at all. Everyone on our table agreed to this. Maybe some customers like this style but to me, it does not represent the epitome of traditional Bak Kut Teh which is supposed to be herbal with tang kwei taste, it is more like stewed pork in soya sauce. Would I return? Maybe yes for their dry type but I would continue to taste others since there are enough Bak Kut Teh shop in Klang to try everyday for 2 years. A better question would be : Does it represent traditional Bak Kut Teh? Try for yourself and comment. Atmosphere was nice though, we managed to sit outside under the big tree that had cool...

The BKT sup is very Pekat. Compare to our kepong style. Personally i like this pekat style and very tastely. Too bad i make a mistake, i did not order the meat correctly. So end up i get Pai Guat which i not so like it. And u can top up the fried onion as u wish..i was like wth is this thing here, usually ppl keep and only give u little bit, but this 1 u just take as ypur wish.
Inside the shop feels very traditional. Haha, u can hear a handsome guy talking loud ( for food order ) and the worker is busy handling food. But they not make me feel Gan Jiong, need to eat fast fast. U can really enjoy your food there. Dispite they are busy, i saw a lady asking for some old news paper to cross the road ( hujan sikit sikit use to cover head ), the handsome also ask his staff go korek in the store and give the old news paper for the lady. Really make me feel like giving 2 thumbs up for the service.
