Heritage Kopitiam 大马茶室 @Klang — Restaurant in Klang Municipal Council

I had been to this Heritage Kopitiam Restaurant a number of times and tried quite a few of their dishes. This place seem to be a popular place to dine due to their cheaper prices and a variety of local Kopitiam food . I would’nt say the taste is exceptional but fairly acceptable with such a huge list of choices of food to order. Generally , the food has sufficient taste for your money’s worth . Would you believe it ! It’s open from 7am till 10 pm daily . For almost 4 years , the owner operated in one single storey shop lot . When he realised , his customer’s size was getting bigger , he added one more shop lot and operated it . It was full of diners with many others waiting to rush in to get seats with tables . The basic toast Bread with planta margarine or butter is definetly below par . The toast bread with the kaya is really too dry for the diners. I tried their signature Prawn Mee and Mee Siam . The sambal to spice it up was very tasty and delicious . Also had the opportunity to try out the Mee Jawa . I would give it a slight above average for all three of those dishes ! It’s certainly a nice place to hang out with friends and office colleagues for an ‘in between’ light and heavy meals for a quick casual order from the menu . You can’t complain about such Kopitiam atmosphere in the restaurant with noisy diners who have lots to exchange at the top of their voices while enjoying most of the meals there . If I were you , I would definitely check it out with my friends .Try not to irk those peaceful residents living opposite the restaurant while looking for empty car parks before checking...

I was here 2 hours ago. I guess it does not pay to be honest. Instead I got blamed by the cashier.

I had finally managed to eat here today after trying to for at least 5 times. Either you were closed or having full occupancy.

Well, I came with my family and had ordered some items for lunch. While the food taste was only acceptable to be really honest with you, what left me with a bitter experience was when I had walked up to the cashier opposite where I was sitting (table 18) to pay.

I clearly informed the lady cashier (not the boss) that I was sitting at table 18. I pointed at the table as well. She then said that was table 17. I told her againcit was table 18 as the table was numbered with the number 18 stand. Then she insisted that was table 17.

Long story short, i paid the amount she requested and then I noticed there was a mismatch from what I ordered. I told her that it was wrong and also told her confidently that it cannot be so cheap. She then turned around to blame me for telling her the wrong table number even when a kitchen helper told her it was her mistake indeed.

Thanks but no thanks, I'll never patronize your outlet again for the food was just average and to be blamed for being honest is a true shame of your establishment. I could have just walked off knowing that I paid much less. These are times that being honest only inconvenience a person by waiting for the incompetent cashier to recalculate and to waste then...

Food is not bad but the service really really bad... go for brunch last week for second time and really have a very very bad experience on the staff attitude and service... my wife order a mee jawa and I order their so call signature nasi lemak ayam berempah.... sit there awhile and my wife food is serve but after she finish I still waiting my nasi lemak.... ask few time on the food then come and ask chicken is not ready..... then since my wife is finish the food and I dont want to wait so I asking to cancel the nasi lemak POLITELY. ... out of sudden an Indonesian staff suddenly throw a plate plain nasi lemak on my table.... then I ask to cancel because the attitude. ... when I pay I ask why there is a charge on a plain nasi lemak only with peanut n sambal for rm 5 and the Indonesian staff also a cashier there and say to another Chinese guy there since he dont wan wait and I give him a nasi lemak la..... walao.... my temper is not good but I still calm my self and ask her why ur attitude like this... the answer is can wait wait la for the chicken cant wait I give u the nasi lemak la......... this kind of service which I not angry for the chicken is not ready but the staff service like this.... we pay for the service tax which no service...... and we get the service that we pay ... really...
