Sometimes less is more. If you're looking for a light broth with clear flavours of simple ingredients, you might enjoy Fatty Mee Hoon Kueh. It's the place to go if you're look for no-frills simple comfort food that leaves you feeling light and enjoy the texture of hand tear pan mee (they call it mee hoon ge/kueh at Klang). It's interesting how this place isolates a lot of the key components in a typical bowl of pan mee such as the sayur manis and stir fried mince pork and mushrooms. But at the same time, it is due to these decisions to reduce the complexity of the dish that their rendition brings out a flavour signature to their shop. In their broth, you can more clearly taste the sweetness of the anchovies and the choy sum. Meat slices are tender and very lightly flavoured. Anchovies are good quality, not over fried. You will notice the broth looks exceptionally clean. It feels homemade. It's hard to come across something as simple as this. Food vendors at times overcomplicate their dish in hopes to appeal to the taste buds of the general public. But Fatty Mee Hoon Kueh proves that simple dishes, quality ingredients and consistency keeps a long stream of loyal customers frequenting their store. QR payments are accepted here. Queues can get very long at times but the place manages it quite well and keeps their orders organised. Parking can get congested during lunch but it is possible with a bit of a walk. You will be given a buzzer after ordering and paying and when your table is ready, it will buzz. While waiting, you may head down the road to enjoy freshly fried fritters like cucur udang and fried nian gao. That stall is very popular too. On hot days, the shop can get pretty stuffy.

Food is good. They live up to the name. Their mee hun kueh has all the elements for people to want to come back for more. Soup is clear but flavorful. Ingredients are pretty generous. Portion is right too. I am a small eater and a small bowl of mhk is consider slightly big for me. The pork liver is tender and fresh. Ikan bilis is of good grade and crunchy. Fried shallots are fried by themselves, not those bought in big plastic type. I always eat until almost the last drop of soup. They are open at 8am and it can be very crowded once it is opened. They uses the electronic beeping disc system to ensure order are sent to the right customer. Service is so so, maybe when it is crowded, u don't expect too good of a service. 😅. Shop can be quite crowded, not too many tables. So, if u want to eat here, be prepared to wait for some time. We came slightly before 8am and we waited for 20- 25 minutes before our order arrived.

Wouldn't expect much for RM6. But the bowl... I think customers health and safety barely looked after. Very hard to find parking despite some people don't park properly. They put chairs in front of their own shop and also in front of parking spaces and I can barely park properly because I'm worried will langgar people sitting on chair and I couldn't adjust since many cars outside. The Chinese male cashier, believe he's owner son, doing alright with customers and have pleasant attitude. But Please avoid the lady boss (the one who wears spec and plump) as she does show the bossy cocky bad attitude when I was thinking bout something else and not ordering any drinks. She just walked away with shoulder shrugs. Hey you think customers don't see? Probably too many customers and they don't worry bout the business langsung. Definitely no next visit.

A Must-Try at Fatty Mee Hoon Kuih Klang! If you're ever in Klang and craving some comforting, delicious noodles, you absolutely have to check out Fatty Mee Hoon Kuih! This place truly hits the spot, especially their pan mee.

I absolutely love their pan mee – it's incredibly satisfying. They offer two sizes: small for RM 7 and big for RM 7.50. Honestly, the big portion is so much more worth it! Even as a small eater, I found the extra RM 0.50 gave me significantly more soup and noodles, making it a truly hearty meal. The "kuih" (mee hoon kuih itself) is also incredibly yummy and definitely worth trying.

A few things to note before you go: The place can get quite loud and it might feel a bit uncomfortable as you often have to squeeze in with other diners, especially during peak hours. Also, a crucial tip for parking: remember to pay using tNGo, as the traffic police in the area are very quick to issue summonses!

Despite the minor downsides of the bustling atmosphere and parking vigilance needed, the delicious food more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for a satisfying and...
