Restoran Shanmuga Berkeley — Restaurant in Klang Municipal Council

Went there at 11pm on Saturday, it was packed. I confirm what the other reviewers said.the Waiters refused to acknowledge me and my nephew even though they saw us waving and lifting up our hands. Waited close to 30mins. And when they decided to come over they went to serve the other tables around us, purposely ignoring us even though we came earlier than the new customers whom were indian. It was very obvious that the new ones just walked over to an empty table. When I went to the counter to ask if I could order, the boss said don't worry he will come over shortly, and when he actually did, he did the same thing as his staff...he went to all the tables around us, took their order first and kept us last. I feel this place is bias and racist. There were some Chinese families there too, and I noticed they were treated the same. I'm malaysian, and I feel this type of attitude should stop. I would strongly advise people to stop visiting this eatery even though they are supposedly famed for their nasi lemak. I have eaten at other Klang mamak's whose food is delicious and their attitude and service, way better. Don't say you weren't warned if you still insist on...

First time going here.. just to tapau mee goreng mamak for my wife and roti canai for me. But when i was there i wanted to tapau everything cos they all looked damn tasty and worth ur money. I was greeted by roti naan n tandoori at the entrance.. the biggest fluffiest naan i ever saw. Too bad couldnt tapau it all.. will definitely be back again to try their other dishes, especially nasi lemak, ayam goreng, idli, capati, thosai. The look of these dishes enjoyed by the patrons are good enough to entice anyone. Oh btw, if u are thinking about food panda, just forget it. The price is way too high there.. example masala thosai is 4.50 at restaurant but 7.70 in foodpanda. U do the math

21.5.2024: It's been two years now and I am a regular patron of shanmugas. Although there are variety of foods here, my number one is always their nasi lemak with their fried chicken. Couldn't rate it higher. Raise my hand for 10mimutes just to want a waiter to come take my order. One of the waiter made eye contact with me and decide to ignore me. Another 5minutes passed, another waiter took order from table next to me and made eye contact with me. I asked can take my order and he show me a sign to wait. 10minutes passed, finally a waiter come take my order. But he could only took my drink order. My food order have to wait another waiter to take it. Another 10minutes gone, another waiter come and took it. After my food arrive, I wait another 10minutes for waiter to get me fork and spoon. By the time, my food is stone cold and cold drink become warm. But it was not this long when I ask waiter for count my food bill.
