Kedai Makanan Laut Kebun Kelapa 椰园 — Restaurant in Klang Municipal Council

We have been regular patrons this Seafood Restaurant since one of our dear departed friends and spouse brought us here for dinner more than 30 years ago. After a hiatus of more than 3 years, we decided to have lunch on Merdeka Day. This traditional family seafood restaurant is stratigical located at the a corner shoplot with a mini-car parked at the side road. There is an indoor air-con area and a bigger outdoor alfresco dinning area. We ordered order our favourite signature uniquely 'dry fried ' mud crabs which is unique and sides of Teochew steamed fish bee hoon and fried green veggies. For drinks we chilled down with bamboo cane drinks. The service is courteous and attentive. Prices of seafood has gone up considerably but still affordable for some and parking is not an issue for lunch here but many be difficult...

Ordered two flavour of crabs of 1kg each. Seriously disappointed. I was recommended by my friends to try out, but the crabs are all dried inside and doesnt taste good.

I went to the seafood restaurant right beside it before and it has better price and taste than this restaurant. Im just comparing the crabs as I never order other stuff before.

The sambal kangkong we ordered have very very minimal sambal. It consists of 90% stems and only 10% of them are with leaves. This makes us really speechless. This doesnt taste spicy at all and is terrible as there is all stems served.

If you are planning to order those mentioned above. Kindly reconsider. I do doubt that others from the restaurant are delicious based on my experience. But you can try if you...

Came here during Mother’s Day. Ordered 8 dishes including crab, steam fish with meehun, fried vege, tomato prawn, fried lala meehun, fried tanghoon and clay pot tofu. Crab in salted egg was bad. It was coated with sticky butter, not dry kind. Kinda disgusting. Kam heong crab tastes different than other restaurant as well. The steam fish with meehun was so so sour, all 9 of us were forcing ourselves to eat it. Fried vege was mediocre. Clay pot tofu, we give it 4/10… tomato prawn was also not so good. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant. Not coming back.
