Possibly open secret among Klang residents but for us ignoramuses from other parts of Klang Valley, this is a hidden gem. The chef used to be a protégé of a famous Chinese chef who specialised in shark’s fin soup and pricey old-school dishes back in the days. Now he rules in his own restaurant, still pulling in the crowd with premium offerings like those mentioned and a selection of homely dishes.
His chicken rice is next level, requiring at least a day notice in advance for the chef to prepare it. The free range chicken is flawlessly poached and served with the best tasting ‘oil rice’ ever: fluffy and nuanced with pandan, ginger and garlic. Top choices include shark’s fin soup, braised abalone with goose web or sea cucumber, prawns with pumpkin butter sauce and braised belly pork.

First visit was really good in terms of food and service. (Weekday)
Today is the second visit (weekend). Food really was not at the standard. Fried rice with dried scallop and crab meat, told the lady boss that today’s fried rice not so good.
Her reply was like: yeah, today crowded so that’s why.
Then, other dishes were below average. We had like 8 to 10 dishes ? Some were really salty. Gave feedback on the spot when we tasted the food. No action taken.
Really disappointed. Throwback the experience during first visit. Superb...
