Queued for very long time, close to an hour just standing and waiting. The spaces for queueing is too cramped, where the staffs serving food have to pass through the queue at risk of colliding with customers queueing. The environment was also not ideal, open air with not great ventilation, with all the smokes and smell lingering around.

After finally being seated and order placed, the food came in an hour afterwards. With that long wait and anticipation, a high expectation of the food is set. However, the food were also way below average, and the portions were definitely disappointing. The Fried Mee Hoon and Yuet Kwong Hor were not good. The Hokkien Mee, LaLa and Fried Chicken Wings were not bad (but definitely not worth all the waiting). The Salted Egg Mantis Prawn was utterly TERRIBLE. It came with the strong oily, RANCID smell. Even biting into it was horrifying.

We have called for the waiter to serve, but because they were all too busy, we were attended to quite late, which is understandable. The food were also served at the interval of 30 minutes per dish.

The prices for the food was quite expensive, considering the portion of the food is not very large, and the taste were mediocre. Especially the drinks, priced at RM5 for a normal kopitiam glass drink size. The prices were also not on the menu.

Overall a very bad experience.

TL;DR : Long queue, bad environment, small portion, mediocre taste, bad...

Surrounded by developed shoplots around it, Kai Kee sits on a plot of land in the centre of all these shoplots. I've always got a feeling that one day, some developer will come along and build something on this piece of land.

As you approach Kai Kee, you will be bombarded by the sight of glowing ambers from the kitchen flying around, the sound of woks cooking, and the wonderful smells. Yes, anything fried using charcoal and lard can not go wrong!

The fried noodles or hokkien mee is superb here. The other variations are also notably good. The wat tan hor has the right amount of smokiness (wok hei) and do also try the fried chicken wings as well. The clams (lala) is also worth a try, If you're not to sure what to order, just look around at the other diners' tables and you'll get the idea on what's popular there.

Don't come too close to peak dining hours because getting a place to sit is not easy. Usually, you won't have to wait too long, but sometimes dishes can be served a little slow as the kitchen is backed up, and diners are left waiting a bit.

Prices are very reasonable, and it's a great place for a quick bite. Weather permitting, since most of the seating...

Always come for dinner even though sometimes have to wait long. But this time, will never go back anymore. Gave a call around 10.20pm to check if the shop already last call, a guy answered the call and said can, you come asap. So I brought my overseas friends all the way from KL to Klang. It's ok if all the food already sold out. But the thing that I can't accept is their attitude. Is like police questioning a suspect in a rude way : what do you want now ?! People that having dinner there looked at me as if I'm the one who being rude. Place is dirty, ok never mind, it is just a hawker stall, can't expect for 5 star hotel standard right ? Food all finish, is ok, cause maybe they have overlooked on some orders. Queue long wait long, is ok, their food is worth to wait, price is reasonable. But attitude, is SUPER BAD ! I can understand it's a very busy day and all of you are very tired but please learn how to answer your customers in a good manner. We as customer don't owe you anything, we pay you money and our time to enjoy good food, not your attitude and your...

Owner is an almost 80-year old uncle who's been in his trade for 50 over years (since 19 Sept 1967) in Klang town. Now he's being helped by 3 of his sons taking turns cooking for the dinner crowd. It's located at a triangular-shaped open air food stalls. As Klang roads are mostly turned into one-way streets, getting there can be challenging for out-of- town visitors. I love the fish head vermicelli noodle in bitter gourd broth, portion for 2 is large. Fish isn't fried type, very fresh. Other types of fried noodles especially Cantonese noodle (yin yong) & flat rice noodle (kway teow) dry-fried with a raw egg in the middle are recommended. An alternative to New Boston Restaurant's steam clams can be found here without the long waiting time. It tastes as good. Crowd can be overwhelming on some days & 4-5 table service assistants can make mistakes delivering & slow/missed out in orders. Beware of the hunchback waiter uncle, he's quite rude

The place was crowded when we came. There is no numbering system, so it's just queueing to get your place. I heard this was highly recommended by 小红书 by people who were queuing in front of us. Although there was quite a big crowd, we got our tables quite soon (maybe because it's just of us). They have different stations responsible for different dishes. 1 for noodle, 1 for steamed lala, 1 for deep frying. We had the steamed lala, it was very very good. Sauce was so packed with flavour. The salted egg yolk mantis praws was also one of the best I'd tasted. Noodles here were normal, not too bad, but not that great either. We ordered fried kankung too, but it was drenched in so much oil, it was hard for us to finish. When we provided feedback, we got this knocked off from our bill. Good damage control. Will definitely come again for the lala and mantis prawns.
