Low service quality: Most of the waiters are foreign employees, can't even communicate in English. The Chinese male manager has a very bad attitude, his is showing black face all the time and he won’t respond properly. We want to order the ribs at a discounted price. He straight away said that we can only order it if we spend more than 288. His tone is not very good. We have 6 people in total, how can he judge that we won't spend more than 288? We want to order white rice and peanuts. He didn’t even bother to reply us when we tell him. He just turned around and asked the kitchen to prepare. He is not that busy at the moment. There are only three tables of guests in the restaurant. I think this manager has a very serious problem with his attitude.

Below average taste: To be honest, only two of the eight dishes ordered in the whole night were delicious. The most amazing dish is the roasted chicken. The skin is really crispy. Other was just tasted average.

Not worthy: Although the fish is fresh, it can't be called delicious. You can eat better than it for less than 100 outside, but this fish costs 300+! It's just a tiger grouper We were shocked when we saw the bill. The average price is RM23/gram. It's expensive and I don't recommend it because it's not tasty! The only good thing about the service is that the plates were changed twice and the waiter took the initiative to pour tea. That's all. The attitude of the male manager couldn't be worse. I will never go there again. I have to spend money and see his black face. I suggest you don't go there. If the service is good, I can barely accept it, but it's really not worth it to pay this...

Food: Tip top quality, especially the sweet and sour pork. The texture is the best and what I have been looking for years. But, the only disappointment is the rice is not fully fragrance rice (according to the waiter with blazer after I asked him) and the rice texture is too soft for my taste.

Environment: We were only given a smaller table as we have only 4 of us, even I had requested for bigger table upon booking the table as the person answered the call mentioned all bigger table is reserved. But I noticed there are bigger empty tables from beginning until end of our dinner at another side, maybe the tables are reserved for wedding dinner. The table we had is a little cramped after putting all the 4 plates dishes, but still acceptable and not that affecting anything for enjoying the food.

Service: Very friendly, prompt, and helping customer service. I think this is one of the best customer service that I have experienced in Chinese cuisine restaurant. Thumbs up to the great customer service team.

Overall experience: Really great food, but hope they will improve the rice texture. We had enjoyed our dinner and thanks for providing the...

The food and service here is good. We booked the private room for lunch, which they said is min spend RM2k. Ok fine, so we ordered lots of dim sum and some more expensive items from their ala carte menu as it is quite impossible to spend 2k on dim sum alone. The charcoal lava custard bun is good and I must actually say it is the best I have tried. The iberico pork ribs is flavorful, and we loved the river prawn noodles. Why didn't this deserve a 5 star rating then? They actually charged RM2.00 for the wet wipes, which we asked to waive for those that are left on the table, as it was not used. Seriously? $2.00 for something that probably cost less than $0.20, what a rip off! The reply was that they cannot waive as in VIP room, they must charge this. Does this even make sense when they have already make you spend a min of RM2k? We complained but the complaint was dismissed. The management really must look into this ridiculous policy. From these pictures, you can see the amount of food that we ordered for 10 adults. Plus look at the very very very...

Booked the 8pm table for reunion dinner. We were one of the first to be here yet at 9pm, no tea was served despite numerous attempts to ask for water. Another 30mins wait before yusheng was served; this was also only after asking numerous times. The management was also one of the most ineffective and condescending I’ve ever met. It was very obvious that there was no proper planning and management as other tables who came later than us were quickly served most of the dishes while we were kept waiting. The floor captains were patronising and unapologetic. It’s Chinese New Year so there really isn’t a need to be angry but this level of service is truly unacceptable. Finally, the soup was finally served and it’s so watery; truly undeserving of the price the restaurant is asking. Now, after 100mins, at 9.43pm, we are still waiting for our next dish. A huge disappointment for choosing Upper Palace Bukit Jalil. We are extremely upset that we have to keep our elderly hungry and waiting. A bad start to the new year.
