Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar @ Great Eastern Mall Ampang — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Last Friday , my little girl and I had lunch at the Alexis restaurant Ampang , I ordered a Quattro formagi pizza , a Vietnameses beef noodles , towards finishing the noodles I wanted to drink the soup , I almost choked !i spat out a piece of hard sharp edge plastic pieces about 2 cm long , was panic I called the cashier a lady and I asked get why my soup there was this piece of plastic , she brought back to kitchen requested by me .. To ask the chefs , when she came back she did not come back to me , after that I called her to ask what did the chefs said , she said it could hv been a broken piece of plastic lid or cover and while cooking my meal it accidentally dropped in my noodles , oh I told her my girl also ate the noodles .. What If she accidentally swallowed , then will be choked and need to send to hosp, she then apologized , I was very disappointed , I felt like vomitting my food , I needed to rush to music lesson so I packed the pizza and requested the bill , to my surprise the cashier charged me , so I asked the waiter to refer back to her , 5 min later , the cashier deducted my noodles , I told the waiter if I accidebtskjg ate and choked in my throat coz it was noodles soup you know if I ate fast I coukd hv accidentally swallowed , he then understood y I am angry , now even I felt very disappointed the cashier did not come to explain y they need to charged me , I had been regular customers here in this restaurant now I felt I need to inform the authority to supervise their workers and staffs exp cooking coz accident happened. Used to be a regular at GE Alexis and The Gardens. Bought a whole tiramisu cake for a family member's birthday and surprised to find out that it would set me back for about RM240+. I was curious to see the service attendant did not include the strawberry jam together with the cake, to my surprise, it is sold separately now. Few years back, the tiramisu cake (sliced or a whole), always served with strawberry jam to go along with the cake. Pretty shocked to know a simple dash of strawberry jam that conforms part of the cake is now an optional add-on like iPhone chargers. The worst part is that they didn't provide me with a paperbag for buying a whole 9-inch cake. Just the cake and the box containing it. We decided to have our 2023 CNY dinner here and were bitterly disappointed.

We have eaten here once before and the food was good then.

The clams from the Linguini Vongole were not fresh. The Tamarind Prawn flesh from the Nasi Lemak Istimewa were almost impossible to separate from the shell, making for a very frustrating experience.

The Beef Rendang from the Nasi Lemak was so hard and chewy, more suited as a chew toy for a dog.

As for the Mee Siam, we have eaten this several times (at both the Ampang and Gardens branches) and this time, it was no where near the usual standard.

For the prices charged, there is an expectation that Alexis GE Mall would make efforts to maintain the standard of their food.

All in, a very disappointing dining experience and we won't be patronizing this...
