This hotpot restaurant is located in Kepong 📍, and it's a "special" hotpot place that we don't usually come across 🍲. The main reason to visit is to try their la la (clam) pot 🍲, which is cooked in a clay pot over a charcoal stove. If you sit close to the stove, you might feel some heat🔥. We were advised to sit outdoors 🌳 where it's more ventilated, and luckily, the weather was good 🌤. At first, the soup tasted a bit bland 🥣, but after adding a few rounds of alcohol, ingredients, and more soup, the flavor became much richer and tastier 👌🏼. We also tried their mild spicy oil soup, but personally, I didn't find it very good 🤔. You should give their shrimp paste a try; it's quite decent 🤌🏼.
The highlight and recommended dishes of the restaurant are the fried pork 🐷 and the "Nam Yu" fried chicken, which is rich in flavor, delicious, and crispy. I personally liked it a lot 💯 and highly recommend it 🔥. The restaurant is spacious and well-ventilated, so the whole dining experience was very comfortable 🍃.
🅿️ The restaurant has its own parking lot 🚗, so parking is free, and there's no need to worry about getting a parking ticket 🚫.

Read moreI recently visited this restaurant again, but I noticed a few differences from my first visit. While the food is decent, I feel that the prices are on the higher side. For example, I paid RM6.90 for just five slices of potatoes, which seemed a bit overpriced compared to other places.
The soup base also tasted different this time—it wasn’t as thick as before. We added a generous amount of wine to enhance the flavor, but unfortunately, it wasn’t as noticeable as expected. However, I have to say that the 沙白 clams were fresh, which was a plus.
Another thing I noticed was the staff. There are many foreign workers, and while they were polite, some of them struggled with basic communication. One of them didn’t understand what “kicap” (酱油) was, which made it difficult for my parents to communicate. We had to step in and translate for them. It would be helpful if the restaurant could provide basic training on commonly used words to improve the dining experience for customers.
Overall, the food quality is still acceptable, but there are areas that could be improved, especially in terms of pricing, consistency, and...
Read moreDiscover an excellent destination for steamboat dining, boasting a fantastic atmosphere and adorned with 90s Hong Kong-style decorations. The spacious layout caters to various preferences, with the outer area being our top choice due to the inner area feeling a bit muggy.
Prepare for the charcoal steamboat experience that's sure to make you break a sweat! We opted for the spicy ginger lala soup, which began with a delightful serving of fresh and cleaned lala. The accompanying soup was equally delectable. After savoring the lala, simply request a soup refill and patiently await the boiling excitement before embarking on your steamboat adventure – a joyful tradition! 🍲🔥🎉
Their commitment to selecting premium ingredient suppliers shines through, with all items served delivering remarkable freshness and flavor. The black fungus, in particular, stood out with its tender chewiness. I wholeheartedly enjoyed every single ingredient, earning a solid thumbs-up. Portion sizes were satisfactory, and while prices are reasonable, a return visit is certainly on the horizon to explore other enticing soup...
