Visited Fook Seng Seafood Restaurant recently for a gathering with 22 people spread across two tables. The bill came up to RM1200+, which set a certain expectation for quality and portion sizes. While there were some highlights, the overall food experience left room for improvement.

First, I must commend the lady boss—she was extremely polite and friendly, which made the service feel warm and welcoming. Hospitality was definitely a strong point here.

However, the food quality didn’t quite match the price tag. Several dishes, such as the minced meat tofu and steamed egg, were served in noticeably small portions. It’s hard to justify how these were priced given the size. The pork rib dish wasn’t to my liking, but I’d chalk that up to personal preference.

On a more positive note, the stir-fried sweet potato leaves with chili and garlic were aromatic and well-executed—definitely up to standard. The chicken dish had a good portion and was decently prepared. The fish served was fresh, which is always a plus.

One of the unexpected highlights was the MD2 pineapple from Pahang. It was incredibly fragrant and sweet, without the sharp, spiky sensation that pineapples sometimes leave on the tongue. A great way to...

Very expensive lunch a few days ago IMO. Ordered for 7 pax steamed mid size red tilapia, mid size kum heong diced chicken, mid size tofu with mince meat, mid size sweet & sour pork chop & large stir fry kangkung with garlic. Bill came to almost $240 including chinese tea, ice & rice. Other similar places I've been only charge about $180 to $190. Food is normal taste & nothing special. Never ever going...

This seafood restaurant in Salak South serves delicious Chinese food in an old Chinese village. Parking is just beside the road and largely depends on your luck. The seafood is fresh, and every dish that came out was delicious. Service was also very good and everyone was very friendly. Fair notice, though, that you need a reservation as seating is quite limited and just showing up you might not...

Fook Seng is fantastic! The place is cozy and nicely decorated. The food was amazing, especially the Spicy sour clams. Everything tasted great and looked good, too. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Prices were fair for the quality. I highly recommend Fook Seng for anyone wanting a great dinner.
