GUĀNG Restaurant & Bar Bukit Jalil — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

About two months ago, I would've rated this place 4 stars (-1 star because the sound acoustics indoors is poorly managed). Back then, they still had a group of very dedicated and brilliant waiters and waitresses. However, on our recent visit which was only yesterday, there was a change in the serving crew. No smile, not interested, only brought the menu when asked to, and even then we were given one menu to share between us. With their body language, this new bunch is literally saying, "We don't give a $h!t about serving you, we're just here because we need a job." There are no improvements but only limited options in the so-called new menu.

UPDATE: We recently (around a month ago) revisited this place and indeed the service has improved. The new group of waiters are attentive and polite. Kudos to the management for taking customers' opinions and suggestions seriously. The 4 stars are commendation to your commitment to improve. Another thought: Sitting outside can be rather unpleasant for patrons who don't smoke because of those who smoke. Some of them are considerate to move a distance away to smoke and then return to their tables but there are some who would smoke at their table (thought this is not allowed by law?). I am regular customer visit the bar at least once a week, enjoy the music and food. The place is packed very often, I used to reserve seat sometime. As I was told they only accept reservation until 7pm only.

However when I reach there about 11pm yesterday, the place is packed like usual, but I saw an empty table with reservation, I asked the staff is the reservation only until 7pm? Why there is a reservation at 11pm? It is so unfair to us. The staff just silent and can't answered me.

I hope the management of guang can give me a proper answer. If there is vvip membership to have privileged to book table after 7pm, please let us know, as we visited the bar very often.
