First timer here after reading positive reviews. The crab is worth it cuz it is fresh. RM230 for 2 pieces (XXL). Was told that it is around 1kg each. Turn out to be 1 large crab and 1 medium size. My guess is that they "compensated" the medium size crab by giving an additional 1/2 of the crab body...lol. Ended up with 2 pieces of large claws + 2 pieces of medium size claws + 5 pieces of crab body (1 crab body cut into 1/2). We ordered sweet and sour crab and it comes with rather small quantity of sauce. Luckily, I only ordered 1 portion of toast (why toast? cuz they don't have mantau). Remember to tell them that you don't want cucumber when ordering crab cuz they will charge you RM1.50 per plate. We didn't order cucumber but was served with it and we thought the 1st plate is free.

Ordered small portion of fried prawns with dried chilli sauce (with 6 pieces only) and it was delicious. Fred not, the prawns were not spicy at all. Rather, if taste like soy sauce prawns. The fried rice with silver bait is a must cuz it is full of wok hei but a bit oily for me. The marmite chicken is too dry to our liking. The stir fried veg is so so cuz it was too watery and veg wasn't fresh. The deep fried homemade bean curd is so so only. can easily find one thay taste better than this. Sautéed venison with ginger and spring onion was a let down. Extremely small pieces of meat, ginger not fragrance. All dishes that we ordered were medium portion and to he honest, the portion is slight small compare to other Chinese restaurants.

We concluded that they are good with seafood dishes but not others. Total damage for 4 pax was RM417 inclusive 6% of service tax. Staff are attentive. Oh yes, we were seated at the air conditioning area and it was a bit noisy. Will surely be back again. Parking is challenging especially if the car repair shop next door is...

2/10 for crabs. I wouldn't come back here for crabs specifically but wouldn't mind everything else. Everything else without taking crabs into consideration: 9/10

We had 3 different types of crab sauces; salted egg, some sort of garlic butter and a third one that escapes me. Either way, the sauces were either not even nice or that it was cooked in such a way that only the shells had the tastes and flavour but not the flesh itself. The crabs were fresh though. 4/10

The Lala soup was tasty and well seasoned. I don't like lala as a whole but this was good nevertheless. 9/10.

The egg dish with glass noodle thing was also great. Perhaps best if they took it out of the fire 5 seconds sooner but great still. 9/10

Fried bee hoon was good. Not too dry, had great woh hei, good flavours, and nice savouriness. 10/10

Tasty vegetables. Well cooked. Enough seasoning. 10/10

Yam basket. I think it didn't have cashew nuts, which are typically for this dish. The basket itself was ok. A tiny tiny bit drier than it could be. The filling inside was ok but the flavour of the capsicum is a bit too strong. But still ok all in all. 8/10.

Do make bookings in advance for a table. Also, do show up if you make bookings or call to cancel as soon as possible if you...

I chose this restaurant as the venue for a farewell dinner with one of my best friends and I think that speaks volumes.

Ok ok. A bit more facts: This restaurant is as old or older than I am and I'm 47 years old. About 17 years ago they opened a branch in SS2 and the branch in SS2 was so popular, bookings are needed during weekends.

Whenever I pass by this restaurant during the MCOs I would pray that it won't close down thank God it survived.

I love eating mud crabs in various ways of cooking it - steamed, chilli sauce, butter milk, salted egg. But this is the only affordable seafood restaurant where they have stocks of XXL-sized mud crabs from Indonesia. 2 of those crabs will cost you RM 190 in total, but it's still much cheaper than places such as Unique Seafood.

The larger and fresher the crab is, the juicier and sweeter the meat. On the other hand, the smaller the crab is, you might be eating more of the shell and less of the meat.

As for starters I would recommend the fried chicken wings. The clams in superior food is...
