Type: Chinese Restaurant Signature: Dim Sum and Other Home Style Dishes
We tried the Dimsum here and this is by far the best I have tried (compared to those usual chains to the likes of Grand Harbour, Ming Room.. Etc). This place promises no MSG proudly in their cooking too.
So we tried the No MSG Prawn Dumpling 🦐 Har Kau 5 🌟 here and it was so good that we decided to tapau another serving home. It's bigger than usual ones with one full prawn in every dumpling.
Full flavored Cantonese style Siew Mai 5 🌟 was also deliciously soft and juicy.... like it melts in your mouth. This is a must try here. The Salad Prawn 🦐 here is also nice 5 🌟, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside... Excellent taste. Most of the dun sum dishes here are tastefully Hong Kong styled.
We also tried the Wantan Curry Mee 4 🌟 which was good... The style here is almost similar to Hawker Chan Curry Mee (the Michelin 1 🌟 restaurant). Another dish worth mentioning is the steamed Pork Ribs 4 🌟 which was also really nice. The drinks here however scored lower as we tried both the coffee 3 🌟 and the milk tea 3 🌟.
Taste & Memories is an all day restaurant with good customer service 5 🌟 and great Ambience. We will definitely come back next time to try their classic home-style favourites such as Pork Lard Rice, Poached Village Chicken, Preserved Vegetables with Pork Lard and Steamed Minced Pork With Preserved Vegetables. Will probably do dinner here and also try their chefs Signature Sweet & Sour Crabs.

2023 Following a recommendation by a friend, we found ourselves at this unassuming restaurant - nice facade, simple wooden chairs and normal Kopitiam tables. Service was fast. The waiter was polite and informative. Offered a bigger plate for my son who ate with fork and spoon. Everything we ordered tasted good. My family LOVES pork, so this restaurant is really up our alley. Will be back to try other dishes. Lard rice in clay pot (5* out of 5) - nice bits of fried lard to really make this dish special. Picked veg with Choy sum and lard (5*) - another favorite with generous portions of fried lard. Pork rib curry (4.5*) - generous bak kut with thick curry paste. Sweet and sour pork (4*) - crispy pork balls instead of just pork, made this dish slightly different from the norm. When asked about a prize trophy on the counter, I was told the chef won a cooking competition in Singapore. From 930am till 330pm, the restaurant serves dim sum and...
Read moreThis restaurant serves quite good food BUT the service is super poor!!!! Because the food is nice and queue is long.. me and my family waited, and when finally we are seated down. Their serving system is down the drain!! At least 4 tables seated later than us but they were served earlier than our order.. when I checked with this lady whom took our order, she just gave her bitchy look saying firstly saying “I don’t know” then later “ohh our kitchen cooked wrong sequence” I double checked twice and all I have were “on the way, pls wait” You can go wrong for one table and I am still fine but for 4 tables!! It could have been rectified when My first reminder came and even there’s a second check..BUT your staff choose to be ignorant...This is ridiculous!!! It’ll be my first and LAST visit!!!! Wanted to buy me the Dinner and served me tong sui.. and I say save it.. then later gave me 10% off my bill but I demand for actual price to be paid.. Don’t think you can buy me through your sickening mistake.. You can be apologetic over it but sorry you tarnished my view on your restaurant service.. you did nothing when I went and check my order twice so why then?? Must have seen my...
