Staff attitude was not acceptable , we made a reservation and the female staff gave us a broken round table instead of a normal table everyone else is using . Secondly, she made us sit beside the sewage and next to the kitchen . We told her nicely if she will let us change places but all she said was " we are full , just wait there is alot of people " . This is unacceptable treatment by a waiter/waitress. What is the point of me making a reservation beforehand then if I still need to wait when I get there ? . Besides that, the barbeque part of the mookata pot became literally black in colour around 15-20mins of grilling because we were grilling meats and that black part is NOT healthy as that is the burnt part and is inedible. I asked the staff to help us change nicely and they said they needed to charge RM5 ?? Are they joking ? This is their responsibility to take care of their customers wellbeing . Do u know what is the consequences of eating literally burned blackened metal? Lastly, if u guys want to be a well established buffet restaurant, don't put so many hidden charges and cheat your customers . Take reference at other buffet restaurants. There is a difference between cheating people and being smart on your business . Conclusion : buffet selection was just mediocre , poor staff , not honest and hidden charges here and there . Watch out for this buffet...
Read more18-06-2022 I went to OK Mookata on the mentioned date, it was indeed TERRIBLE experience of eating here. The food being served were not fresh (seafood, meat, frozen food). You eat once and you would probably won't have the appetite to eat more. It doesn't give u a feeling of "wanted to eat more". We ended up eating vegetables only, can u imagine that? The drinks served were also average only, I can't even tell it's Thai tea, taste more like a Teh Ais from an ordinary Kopitiam. Badly shortage of waiter/staff, you basically have to be your own waiter, do the job that should be theirs. So what's the point of paying service tax? I have personally walked up to a waiter for his help, he straight ignored and bypassed me. I do understand how busy and frustrated they are with so many customers. It's probably management issue of not managing the restaurant well. Their top priority was never serving customer well but only to make sure all the tables are occupied. The toilet was disgusting, looks like the toilet you would see in petrol station. Definitely appetite killer.
Overall, it was a real story of mine having dinner here on mentioned date. I didn't exaggerating anything. It would be my first and last time. Just my two cents. Hopefully could help those reading...

The friendly service at OK Mookata definitely put us at ease. However, a couple of things caused some confusion.
Package Miscommunication: The discounted package (Father's Day promo) we ordered promised grill sticks (for self-grilling), but they weren't included, resulting in an extra charge.
Soup Base Surprise: We were initially told we could change soup bases during ordering. But when requesting a switch from Tomyam to clear soup, we were surprised to learn it came with an RM5 charge for a new grill top. (Well, technically there should be no charges if we just add clear soup to existing Tomyum soup, but it defeats the purpose as the Tomyum soup tasted saltier than the Dead Sea)
Anyway clear Communication is Key To avoid any surprises, be sure to double-check pricing on extras like grill sticks and soup base changes before you order. Clearer communication from the restaurant about package inclusions and pricing would be helpful.
Overall, the service was commendable, but a little more transparency on extras would...
