Shell Out® Publika — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Came here on a weekend night for a birthday dinner out. We were the only people in the whole restaurant.

The table was set with a long roll of white paper and we basically ate off the paper. That was fun. They also gave us a whole box of gloves, disposable bibs and paper towels.

We ordered a set for 2-3 people that cost RM249.90. It came with one crab, prawns, lala, octopus, half a broccoli, corn, chicken wings, chips and rice. It also came with 2 drinks. We ordered more on top of that.

The food was tasty especially the sauces. The seafood was small but also very tasty. We loved the chicken wings which we had to order another extra plate.

It was a good meal overall. A nice place to come if you like the Louisiana type...

If you love seafood feasts, this place is a must-try! Ordered the 2–3 pax set and it came loaded with a size-L crab, prawns, squid, lala, potatoes, corn, 4 chicken wings, french fries, plus 2 rice and drinks. The Shell Bang sauce (medium spicy) was spot on, flavourful with just the right kick without overpowering the natural sweetness of the seafood.

Everything was super fresh (no fishy taste at all!) and the portion was more than enough for 3 people… unless you’re doing a mukbang challenge. The whole “pour over the table” style makes it extra fun and perfect for sharing.

Service was great too, staff were friendly, food came out fast, and everything was served piping hot. Will definitely be coming back...

Went here yesterday to celebrate my bf's birthday. The staff are accommodating and we are the only customers at that time. Feels like we rented the whole area. We both loved all the Chinese songs played as all of it is our favourite songs to sing together. The service was prompt and quick. The food is okay it's just a little salty even if you eat it with rice, and I expect it to be more sauce and butter but a bit on the dry side coz other boiled potatoes are already mashed. Overall everything was okay and might try again next time if we will be in the Publika area. Thanks to the staffs and to Joseph (I think manager) whom I had convo via WhatsApp and accommodated my special requests beforehand. Cheers!...
