Decided to try Thai Tuk Tuk which is situated in Publika, overall impression is excellent. Ambiance is fantastic with so many Thai furnishing and items. Staff here is friendly, the waiter even suggested to me the dish I should take when I was not sure. Attentiveness can be a issue here, the call bell on each table does not work. So we still need to usher and call the waiter when we wanted something. The menu options offered is quite decent with an array of dishes and drinks available. Pricing is abit on the high side though, but considering it's an authentic Thai street food restaurant.. It's excusable. The food took about 20 minutes, a bit long for an empty restaurant (one table occupied) if considering the office lunch hour rush. I dont think I can have som tam anywhere else now. I also tried the crabmeat fried rice which was also authentic in flavour and it was a decent portion, in fact I shared it cos it was a little too much for me. It is a little pricey for what you're paying for but it is so good. If I could also give a suggestion to the eatery, it would be to brighten up the place with better lighting. It was a little dim & gloomy.
We visited on a Friday at 6pm and it was relatively quiet but started getting really busy as we were about to leave at 8pm. Get there early if you can :-) Oh and everyone seemed to order the Tom Yum so we might try...
