Dealt with Assem and it was literally the worst experience I've ever had. Got a opal from them two years ago and they set it into my wedding ring. Now it's super cloudy and when I took it to them, they first said its not Opal. Upon telling them that I got the Opal from them, changed their story to how its because the stone wasnt set properly. Which was also done by them. Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and requested them to change the stone to a moissanite I already had. Couple of tips: they will tell you that your item will be ready in one week. Don't wait for them to contact you when it is because they won't. Twice, they only got back to me after I prompted them THREE WEEKS later. Even then, they still haven't done it yet. One of those times, after 4 weeks, they told me that they weren't able to do it, essentially just wasting my time. if they tell you what measurement stone to buy, get a second opinion. They told me to buy a 0.3 carat and 3 carat moissanite, and I bought a 0.5 carat and 3 carat moissanite. Even then they told me that the size is too small. Which meant I had literally wasted my money. if you plan to set moissanite, know that it will turn brown. These clowns told me they can do it, but when the stone turned brown, came out that they actually don't have experience with moissanite. They even refused to acknowledge that they should provide customers with basic disclosure up front, although this actually protects them too. After this experience, I called other jewellers and they even provided this disclosure over the phone.

So do not trust these people. Terrible service, incapable of adhering to promised timelines, blames the customer for their mistakes, and never apologises for the terrible experience they provide.

Update: their attitude is clearly shown in their reply. This is also the first of any mention of sunlight, also yet to be put to the test. One would think this is something you would tell to the customer when the cut stone turns brown, but they instead mention it here when a review is made. Weirdly, they could have easily put it in sunlight themselves, but they didn't even bother mentioning it until now.

As a seller of natural stones, of course you would recommend that now. But the natural opal that I bought from you is still immensely cloudy. And you yourself doubted its actually opal and wanted to charge me to fix it. All moissanite is synthetic, which why many prefer it as its conflict free and ethical.

Dishonourable business. 0/10 do...

Had a terrible experience with Assem, the owner and “head designer”. She started the process of designing my ring only to leave the country without letting me know when I had left my stones with her thinking she will be working on them. Found out after visiting the store later on that it had been passed on to one of the staff members. Fine, went through the whole process, agreed on a design and quotation. Ring was made and paid for. When I came to collect it, realised that it had 4-prongs instead of the double split prongs previously agreed upon. To cut the story short, Assem disagreed with the pricing her staff had set and tried to pass off shoddy workmanship to me. Moreover she also tried to pass off her cracked stones as my extra loose stones only to give back mine when I insisted. I was browsing online where to find quality gemstones in Kuala Lumpur and I came across to this store that really caught my attention because of the reviews and feedbacks. Luckily, it was still open when we got there. Sir Jaz along with his brother were so welcoming, approachable, nice, humble person and they even gave us a cup of coffee and had a lil chi-chat time as if we had known each other for a long time.
