My recent visit to this place was extremely disappointing.

I had intended to try the Couple Prime Ribs but upon arrival, I was told the 1kg portion was unavailable, only the 1.2kg was available. As that was too large for just my son and me, we opted for the Couple Lamb Ribs instead, and were told the wait would be 30 minutes.

After an hour, I inquired at the counter, only to discover that my order had never been processed due to a system error. While I simply wanted to pay for our drinks and leave, the staff insisted I stay. They then claimed they suddenly had the 1kg prime rib available and could prepare it in 10 minutes. This was after I had already waited an hour, and after they had initially told me it was unavailable.We left.

I had driven 30 minutes for this meal, and the entire experience was incredibly frustrating, especially given it was my birthday (eve) lunch celebration.

I would suggest the owner consider the following:

The waitstaff should be more attentive. There were only a few tables occupied, yet no one checked on us during the hour-long wait to ensure everything was alright with our order.

Honesty in business is crucial. Claiming a smaller portion is unavailable simply to upsell to a larger one is unacceptable.

Overall, biasa saja. We came for lunch and ordered a variety of meals from the menu: Couple mixed platter Grilled steak Some type of sanwiches - philly, steak Some pastas: bolognese, carbonara Briskets, pulled beef

Kids seem to just enjoy the pastas and meats sbb memang semua dah lapar. But i was disappointed with the size, taste and portion given. The steak arrived in that size (see picture) compared to the one from the menu. Sad. Indah khabar dari rupa. But then you can guess from the price. Suggestion to change the pictures in the menu to reflect the TRUE size and portions being served.

The pasta, bbq sauces, fries, salads, mashed potatoes - all standard tastes and look you get from any food court selling western food. Nothing amazing. Pastas ok lah full plate portions. Meat is tender. But lepas makan rasa not full sbb portion meat is small. Kena top up order sandwiches. Sanwiches were too soaked with cheesy and bbq sauces, too overwhelming. I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Texas BBQ Barn Cheras! From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat — and they truly delivered.

I ordered the Couple Texas Mix Platter, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Every single item on that platter showcased the chef’s mastery of barbecue perfection. The smoked brisket was tender and juicy with a rich, smoky flavor that melted in my mouth. The smoked lamb chop was perfectly seasoned, and the smoked quarter chicken was packed with bold, savory goodness. The pulled beef was flavorful and succulent, pairing beautifully with the nachos, pickles, and mashed potatoes. The tortillas were soft and fresh, and the egg and potato skillet added a hearty touch that made the meal truly complete.

To top it all off, the Ice Cream Soda was the perfect refreshing companion — light, fizzy, and nostalgic, making the entire experience even more delightful.

Overall, this was a 5-star feast that I would highly recommend to anyone craving authentic, mouthwatering smoked meats and a satisfying dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
